• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Hi folks, I'm excited to take her on the final roadtrip in my bucket list (NC500).

I'm planning on going in March and aiming to be back home before the kids are released from school.

I'm hoping to alternate between hotel and car camping for a balanced budget and experience. My only worry is getting a flat as I have patch kits but hoping I get signal for the AA incase I breakdown.

I really want to do the apple cross pass but given the size of the vehicle, I might skip.

Given the 300mile range I think I'm safe without a petrol can as I will fill up as much as I can between towns

Starting in Inverness, 7 days counter clockwise.

Let me know if you have any tips for this trip.

Take lots of pics and come back and report. A road/pass that might be too small for a Stinger sounds like an adventure! I have no idea what you are describing as far as NC500, so, I will look it up on Google Maps.

And here it is. Beauty!

LOL! I think your worries are groundless.

Holy crap that is a narrow road alright. Our biking/jogging paths are almost that wide. Ha hah. But I see pullouts are a regular feature. And so is backing up to the last one I bet.

This is something I'd love to do myself one day, the scenery up there it breathtaking at every turn.

Me and the Mrs spent a week exploring in & around Inverness with the Stinger and it was about as comfortable/capable a drive as you could wish for. The roads probably get a bit more rural the further up you go but I wouldn't say you have anything to worry about, at their worst they were nowhere near as dicey as the single track roads of Cornwall.

If you're going to be car camping though just be prepared for low temps, things can get real chilly real quick up there and there's prob a good chance of snow in March.

While in Inverness though, if you get chance I can highly recommend a visit to Glen Strathfarrar for some hiking, they only let a few cars in per day so you more or less have it to yourself if you get there early...
