Napleton has got to be the worst Kia dealer that I have ever. First, they basically list all of their cars online for invoice price to get you in the door, but as soon as you sit down to talk about the price of the car, those numbers change big time. First, the basically admit flat out that they lure you in with their online pricing, but start all of their cars at MSRP. They try all of the normal dealer tricks of adding $2,000 for nitrogen in the tires, or another $1,500 for vin etching and rust proofing, but on top of that they have a $3,000 dealer markup because according to them "This is the hottest selling car in America and nobody pays sticker only".

I mentioned to them that the markup was entirely ridiculous as were the add-ons and they began their whole speech about how my "Camry was nice, but it was nothing next to a Stinger!" and how I'll be "The coolest person around with one of these since they're so rare!" (I thought they sold like crazy?).

Finally they came out with some insane lease deal, something like $450/mo with $5,000 down and $7,000 trade-in for 36 months with a $30k residual at the end on a $45,000 price for a Premium 2.0. Basically I would be spending close to $60k on a car that has a $42k sticker.

I told them no to that deal and they responded with "That's cool, not everybody can afford a Stinger anyways" and then began going back and forth between the salesman, sales manager, and finance manager about how I am an idiot for not taking this deal and the salesman saying things like "Man, I wish I was offered this deal" and other b.s. first grade sales techniques. I told them I would think about the offer, and I was told no, I was to buy this car RIGHT NOW of this deal will never be here again because the manager knows somebody who wants my Camry and is not going to wait for it...

Terrible service, terrible sales team, high pressure, and a huge dealer markup. 0/10 would not shop here again.

We would love to help you out. Napleton is a competitor of ours just outside of Muncie,IN. We are $350 under Invoice through the Costco program. Zero games.

Napleton is bad here in St. Louis as well.

Hey, if they are still in business, they are selling something to someone.

So is that 350 off invoice, then lease incentives can also be add to deductions. Would that mean holdback is still in play aswell.

thanks

We are not getting into holdback. We like to keep the lights on to be able to sell Stingers.

I went to International Kia in Orland Park. Paid $37K out the door (including tax, etc) for an AWD Stinger Premium w/ Drive Wise package. No BS, no games.

First question at my first dealer..."what can you afford" Ha ha. Really.

If Muncie is close, deal there. Seems like a good place with good reviews on here. Hell, they even offered to ship to be to me in AZ.

I think the mentality of many Kia dealers is selling cars to people who are looking for a cheap ride. So they start with the "how much a month" game and try to hide profit in the monthly payment amount. You should always begin with your true net cost of the car with no dealer add-ons and work on payments from there.

Did you deal with anyone patecular, and did you do a lease buy out.
thanks

Pearl Eiland. She was great. I did a balloon finance. Sort of the same deal as the lease buyout, but without the lease. Still got the $6600 rebate.

I don’t know if this Kia dealer gives referral incentives to previous customers.

I don't think they do. Didn't say anything to me about that anyway, LOL. Just tell Pearl that Brian with the black stinger said Hi, she'll remember me :)

If you are in Chicago Area, look into Gerald Kia (Naperville). I looked around quite a lot and that's the best deal i found. It was also pretty no BS experience. I finalized my deal on Email and phone and showed up to pick up the car. PM if need more info.
