Mouse invader!

I put chlorine in the water feature to kill the algae. And this time I seem to have distressed the black cat, who is a mother. I thought she looked a bit slimmer. She has at least two kittens, now about a third her weight, judging by appearances. I heard her meowing in a disconsolate/complaining way in the back yard; and this was shortly after I ruined their drinking water. Later, my wife saw her trying to stick her head far enough in a watering can. So, I relented, propped a flowerpot water catcher full of water beside the water feature, and the cats have already started using it. I feel like such an altruist. The up side of this cat presence is bound to be an elimination of any mice threat (to my car, heh!).

still have the same cat that keeps are home mouse free....it's an indoor cat so I'm s o L when it comes to the outside where the car sits.......but we have a few ferrell's running around, so our mice population is slim for the most part....seen more chipmunks than squirrels...it's the vegetable oil that's used in plastic wire extruding that attracts the animals in the first place, in case anyone is wondering.

No news is good news, I hope. There are actually at least three kittens. But the trouble is that they don't frequent our yard enough. However, I've tried two mouse traps along the carport walls, baited with chocolate chips. One trap was triggered twice; but I'm pretty sure it was by a curious kitten. The traps have been undisturbed for the last three or four days now.

some well placed dryer sheets work well....problem is they blow around in the wind........otherwise they repel most varmints.......I use 'em when I store the bike....wrap all the wires with 'em. I would stuff them in the wee corners of the car where mice would want to go.....errrr at least where you would think they end up.lol

That "solution" sounds a bit hellish. Hah. I can see it working on a bike, though.
