MotorWeek's Stinger does 0-60 in 4.5 Seconds

Just showing that, more or less, Cars and Driver's 4.4 second run to 60 wasn't a fluke. I know it's a tenth of a second off, but 4.7 is three tenths of a second off...

Great review! I always liked Motor Week. I think this is a preproduction car because it has a camera in the front grille and all the hole covers in the front bumper for a front "Euro" license plate.

I would think that the difference is whether they are testing a RWD or AWD. The faster times all seem to have been with the AWD and 19" tires. You relieve a bit of "bite" necessary on the rear when the front tires are helping.

I hope if/when I decide to buy a Stinger, that black/off white interior is more widely available.

All the GT 0-60 testing I've seen shows the AWD and RWD pretty much identical. The AWD has more grip but is slightly heavier where the RWD has less grip but is lighter.

Another thing to consider is that 0-60 times will be affected by lots of factors including ambient temperature, humidity, road surface, wind speed and direction, even how much gas is in the tank which would change the total weight.

I think it's cool that these folks are getting the 4.5 sec 0-60. Every reliable/ professional time I've seen is in the 4.5-4.7 second range.

The car is definitely fast.
