Apparently charging no markup and selling MSRP. I put in an order for 2022 Stinger GT2 AWD in Ceramic Silver with Red Leather. Hopefully this holds true and they didn't take a deposit. Also did this over the phone/email.

I've called so many dealers about ordering a Stinger, and many have told me Kia won't accept them because the Stinger is discontinued. It'd be good to know if they actually are taking orders or not since I can't seem to get a straight answer. Congrats by the way! Yesterday I bought a '22 Stinger Scorpion Ed. ceramic silver/black interior and am having it shipped across country since I couldn't find anyone to take an order at MSRP.

I’ve heard they use your ID for another allocated unit and when they see one that matches the description. So instead of ordering maybe this is what they do (heard it from a few dealerships). I’ve called about 15 different ones and 10 said they could order while 5 said they cannot.

Seems like there's a lot of confusion. I called Kia directly and was told it's NOT being discontinued and you can order it, but even the rep had to find out for sure and I'm not convinced he has the correct information. Strange no one can seem to say for certain either way.

Part of me thinks it's a scam from the dealers to run with a rumor and charge an insane amount for the vehicle. Either way, it makes no sense to me with a base engine buff and a slight refresh would have Kia discontinue their vehicle right after. Why would they even put the effort into doing that?

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

My thoughts exactly! I think the dealers don't want to give up an allocated spot to place an order and don't want to do the legwork. They artificially inflate prices because "this is the hottest car in the country" but yet it's being discontinued? I call BS.

They can make a lot more money saying we have this car on the lot and charge a premium for it. People don't have patience and they don't want to wait the 4-6 month quoted time for a vehicle. Also I am sure dealers want to make a sale now instead of 4-6 months down the line.
