M&S spoiler installation

Gentleman, my gloss black spoiler will be here soon. Courtesy of K8stingerstore.com.. anyways, for you guys that have these, is the tape any good that comes with it or are you buying your own to use?? Thanks

The tape is fine, as mentioned in the other thread, it's thin, but so are the contact areas due to the construction, so wider tape won't be contacting anyway. I agree that there's nothing wrong with the supplied tape. The video below was a good install vid.

The tape that comes with the M&S Spoiler package is more than sufficient to hold your spoiler to the trunk deck lid.

We have had customers do multiple runs of spirited driving, track days, and autocross, without experiencing any issues.

As long as you enable DRS on the straights, the tape will hold.

but if you leave the spoiler in stock config on the back straight, the massive downforce will over stress the adhesive of the narrow 3M VHB tape.
