Lucille: Now Lowered

I've been thinking of getting some bigger tires for mine, something like 245/45 19 up front and 275/40 19 in back, on the stock wheels, that way if I should lower it with the Eibachs, the ride height would be close to what it is now. What do you think about that setup?

That would be a really tall set up. I'm not sure it would fit, especially if lowered.

I figured but in a standard setup it would make it more of a comfortable ride with some extra protection from road hazards. :)

@Kamauxx Do you get any electronic suspension warnings after lowering?

Not a one.

I figured out one of the suspension connectors didn't clip in all the way and was throwing the warning. All good now :)

I lowered my car last week with Eibach's kit.

I won't bother reviewing them since I mostly concur with what others have written. But as I promised in the other thread here some quick cell phone pics.to show the new stance.

Looks good what tire set up you have?

First time to your thread. Looks very cool!
"You picked a fine time to lower Lucille" (apologies to you and Kenny Rodgers)

Any rubbing in the back I’m looking for that same set up but not sure becouse I don’t want it to rub when I have people in the back.

I heard a rub once when going over a dip with my 3 sons and a 50lb bag of doog food in the back. I checked when I got home and couldn't even see where it rubbed. It may have been my imagination.

I just want to add to this thread that this setup does rub, it's very minor in the back, not a big deal, just touches the edge of the fender liner. In the front, if you hit a bump while turning a certain way, there's a chance that you'll hit one of the fender liner tabs. Saying that this setup doesn't rub isn't entirely accurate.

It does however look phenominal, and I'll stick with this tire size in the future (and will be rolling those front tabs but not the fender itself), but if that's a concern for you, sticking with 235/35 or 255/30 front and 275/30 or 295/25 rear should give you closer to stock clearance (pair the 235 with 275 and 255 with 295).

Looking back on it I'm not sure mine ever rubbed. The one time I heard a noise I figured it was a rub but I drove another 10-15k miles over the subsequent year and never had it happen again.

If it's happening to you @YOWStinger it may be dependent on more than just offset and tire size. Tire type and brand may come into play as well.

@adz2332 I forget which model but the brand is M&S. Check eBay, they have a couple of different options.

it may be, perhaps the extra weight of the AWD. Putting the Mando ECS10 on solved it
