Just got my JB4 yesterday, super excited to install! Looking to get the Lozic TCU next. Wanted to get some opinions on the options. I'll be running map 2.
--I saw Twn2rbo was using -13% but didn't know if that was the consensus on the "best."
--Shift Pressure 2 I guess, not sure how hard 3 is on the trans.
--Undecided on launch control torque limit on/off. If I choose on, does the 2300 rpm still build boost or is this just like stock because that's horrible.
--More powerful sport shift pattern. No idea what this does. I have a GT2 awd with the E-shift.
--Smooth downshift. Is this a good option? Lozic pre-selected no.
--AWD torque transfer 2 pre-selected. What does all the time change it to?
Everything else I'm gonna leave pre-selected, looks like its just no auto upshift options.

A big ty for any input!

Stick with pressure 2, smoothest. 3 can be jerky. 1 is stock and meh.

Definitely torque limits off.

Yes to smooth downshift.

The % various on user. How fast do you want your 1-2 3-4 5-6 etc shifts to be? The shorter the shifts the bigger the %.

Morer powerful shift pattern iirc was when in sport mode, it's more aggressive than say comfort/eco (I may be wrong here, can't remember fully)

Don't worry to much on the pre-selected ones, keep it the way they are.

Welcome.

-13% is only good when it’s pulling timing for the pump gas only. If you’re considering WMI/CPI or even simply mix E30 at pump, it’s killing your high end power and making your car slower in the longer pulls like 1/4 and 60-130. -10~-8% is the sweet spot for everyone. Try play with map3 and paddle shift safely(if your map2 log looks clean)and check the log to see if your throttle closes at redline. If so, go play with your paddle shift and find out the safe RPM to prevent throttle closure. That safe rpm is your target rpm for -x%. If no throttle closure then -8~-10% are good for all future and current set up.

Line pressure wise everyone loves pressure 2 so nothing could be wrong if you stay with that.

Torque limiter off for AWD cars for sure, you’re wasting your money for leave them on. He still has some safeties to save your transfer case but it’s important for you to stare at JB4 gauge and try to always launch at your sweet spot.

More powerful sport shift pattern. Here is the fun part of lozic. This will slap a Jeremy Clarkson’s smiling face meme in your head if you enjoy the aggressive feedback. So if you normal sport mode is too much for you this is a no.

Smooth down shift 2-1. Still depends on how aggressive you would it be like. I doubt you would cares about smoothness under wide open throttle at early second gear.
