Has anyone gotten the Lozic AWD tune? He's offering it for $990 new but I don't know anyone who's gotten it and recommends it.

Seems like all the prices went up:There's no way he upped the price on the AWD tune that much, it used to be like 690.
I haven't gotten the AWD tune from him yet, but he has indicated that it's primary function is to provide superior performance through corners. Not sure how worth it is, but I'm interested in finding out.
How much was the ECU when you got it?Seems like inflation is getting to him. LoL. That's nearly a 50% increase in price. That's nuts.
that exact reason is why I tried to convince him to get a shop not in California. They get the worst of it.Seems like inflation is getting to him. LoL. That's nearly a 50% increase in price. That's nuts.
I have it.Has anyone gotten the Lozic AWD tune? He's offering it for $996 new but I don't know anyone who's gotten it and recommends it.
Appreciate the input. I think I may pass on this as well unless I find a deal on a used one.I have it.
If you are doing road courses, it should help save time in the corners. I did some test for straight line speed and what I noticed was minimal, like maybe a tenth in 1/4 mile time. Backroads, the car was faster through turns. Not enough to justify purchasing for drag strip. Essentially the tune is supposed to allow the vehicle to send the torque faster than stock unit. Which in theory will help you in the corners, especially when exiting. I think unless tracking at road courses, most should pass on this. I have some track days, and I believe will help and make a difference on my times. I'm not going to be doing any testing of stock vs lozic awd ecu because I'm just not that interested in uninstalling/reinstalling the unit. It was a pain in the ass to reach. And I don't know that I care enough to check it out. Lozic was supposed to make a video demonstrating the difference, but I don't think that ever happened.
Another thing though is that I purchased mine in 2021. It was $650 and I had the funds. It does feel quicker through my local backroads when carving through corners, so I believe his claims to be true.
Good point. California has got to be the absolute worst state for people who appreciate cars and the automotive industry. I try not to get political about their governance, but they don't make it easy for someone who loves cars (or guns, for that matter).that exact reason is why I tried to convince him to get a shop not in California. They get the worst of it.
At those prices it's hard to not just go with lap3 now...Seems like all the prices went up:
ECU $1690
TCU $1090
AWD $990
You're not wrong, but they do not have an AWD tune, as far as I know.At those prices it's hard to not just go with lap3 now...
I agree. My initial justification for Lozic was that his tune was half the cost of Lap3 and you could still be fast. But it's too close for me now. However, Lozic has a lot of track experience and I think maybe on a road course this will show up more with that awd tune. I do like it.At those prices it's hard to not just go with lap3 now...
Facts. Although that Sxth Element Ek1 set up is looking decent. At those prices it's hard to not just go with lap3 now...
Im about 1300 all in for my EK1, TCU, and ECU tune from sixth.Facts. Although that Sxth Element Ek1 set up is looking decent.
Did you flash your ECU with the Ek1 or did you send it in?Im about 1300 all in for my EK1, TCU, and ECU tune from sixth.
ease of use, Faster, revisions through the internet if need be, and much, much more. My car is noticeably faster now. haven't put any times down yet, but Using the JB4s rough 0-60 estimation, im averaging 0.3-0.4 seconds quicker than I was on the lozic tune. Heres the kicker though. The Faster times with the sxth tune are being done on my winter tires, on a dirty street, compared to my lozic times, with sticky summer tires on a prepped surface....@StingerbyAdoom how would you compare your current tune to the Lozic?
FlashDid you flash your ECU with the Ek1 or did you send it in?
Kept the JB4 for logging and WMI monitoring?Flash
Bingo, that and fine tuning with map6 for an extra half pound of boost here and there.Kept the JB4 for logging and WMI monitoring?
