I've just ordered a set of white wheels and I've got the vibrations from the stock pads. Seems like a good opportunity to kill both birds with one stone. Can anyone recommend a low dust pad that will perform for spirited driving and occasional driving events?

I can only offer which NOT to buy; if you don't want dust, definitely avoid stoptech ceramics. They get the job done, but they're dusty as a tomb and squeal like injured pigs.

 Just saved me from getting these

Holy cow, DO NOT GET STOPTECH pads unless you like a thick crust of brake dust after a week and squealing brakes with city driving haha. I have them on the front right now. I bought them when there was like a front pad shortage a while back. I am shopping for new wheels now and I will get new pads when I get them. I have EBC Red stuff in the rear and the dust is much much less.

Akebono are what I had on a previous BMW , they were great !

Im the same way lol. Im waiting on a set of girodisc rotors to come in so Im trying to find some pads for those. Im not sure if I need to buy a different size pad or just use the factory size.

I would think a same size rotor would work with the same size pad, but I have no first hand experience with that so dont go on my word.

I also have the girodisc front pads and they're pretty low dust. Still on oem rear pads.

Just to clarify after I have been reading on these posts about the brake vibration. The car only has 2500 miles and decided to go on a canyon run with one of my buddies when I noticed coming back down the hill I started to get the vibration and it pissed me off. In this case, is it only the front pads that need to be swapped out, or is it best to just do the front and rear pads at the same time?

Just do both if I were you.

you can rid the discs of dust with a couple of higher speed hard braking , you wont need new pads , these ones accumulate dust then just need some "tough love" and they'll be fine until they need it again . I used to use Axxis and Akebono ceramic pads on my BMWs they were excellent .

If you replace anything, just replace the front pads. I had the pulse with my 19 GT2 by 2500 miles of street driving. The dealer resurfaced the front rotors and I immediately installed Girodisc Magic Pads. If you Google the part number you can order them for about $85 for the front. Girodisc doesn’t make rear pads but the stock rear pads are fine.

I've got 7700 miles on the car now and no more pulsating brakes.

I appreciate this! I am going to order them now. Do I really need to have them resurfaced after just 2500 or it should be okay just to throw the Girodisx Magic Pads on?
