3.3TT Looks like a new intake is coming soon

I was browsing the KM tuned website and found these intakes, but they won't be available until April. The fact that they are fully enclosed stood out to me, also there is an option for dry filters if you don't want oiled filters.

Honestly, I'm not sure this would be an upgrade over my intake setup (JA Airscoops, the stock airboxes with AEM dryflow filters inside). The lack of any data is a red flag to me as well. Is anyone willing to be the guinea pig come April?

Im sure more data and before and after dyno tests will surface closer to release, better wait and see. It does look good however, wonder how it looks under the hood. Would be interesting to hear how it sounds as well since its fully enclosed.

I can slightly hear some induction noise through my airscoops. I imagine those intakes would sound similar, granted that the car has scoops/snorkels installed.

Looks like a damn good design. But yeah, is it "worth it" compared to any other intake upgrade? Probably not.
Would want to pair this with the scoops, or just leave off everything in front of the core support.

It's just a normal cone filter, so you can put whatever cone you like inside that box. Noise will be comparable to using stock airboxes.

Dyno numbers shouldn't be any different than any other intake setup. The difference will be potentially lower IATs when a car is in traffic or good and toasty, but that difference won't show up on a dyno.
