• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Hey everyone! New here, just bought a Nardo Grey 2018 Kia Stinger GT the other week and love it! I had no idea that this type of community existed! This is awesome! I would love it if I found other people in my area that wanted to go on occasional drives now that the weather is getting nice! The Stinger is just so fun to drive! If you also live in the Salt Lake City area, let me know!

@westcoastGT has said he's my biggest "fan". Then he goes and makes fun of me. :p But I love him anyway.
@Andrew92 where in Salt Lake city do you park your Stinger?

I've seen a grand total of 7, count 'em Seven, Stingers since I bought mine back in late March last year. I didn't see any until I had my car for almost six months. Then I started to see them very occasionally. Four out of the seven "wild Stinger sightings" have been Aurora Black (the latest one last week, with "cobalt" blue rims). I've seen one Grey (where in the heck did you get "Nardo" from?:p); and I saw him twice in one day, but not since; only counted him once though, because it was definitely the same car.

Over on the Utah thread Utah Stingers I've suggested a very cool "Stinger swarm" drive route. The Ferrari Club of SLC did it last fall, and I want to copy it. I'm going to do the drive in (probably) late April, early May, once the snow is truly melted off the roads (some of that route, around Guardsman Pass) is not maintained through the winter and will be snow packed until it melts off; and the elevations are quite high. I'm estimating that the trip from the mouth of Big Cottonwood canyon around the back to Silver Fork Lodge (for lunch) will take about an hour; more if we lollygag; :D Right, in a Stinger? Lollygag? LOL.

I'll let you Utahans know how the drive goes when I finally do it. And then we can set up a date for the "swarm". :D

Oh, and just so you know: it is very desirable to put your location in your membership info; it helps when we discuss weather and other location issues; and it helps ID Stinger owners when we are organizing meets, so I am told. And if you put some info about your Stinger (and other drives you have) in your signature, that also helps introduce yourself each time you post.

Will it let me post now?

Ah, the required post count before you can post pics or links. It is 15 posts, I believe. What shall we talk about to get your post count up? :p

Hey, West Jordan! Cool! We're "immediate" neighbors. Sooner or later, we're going to get to score each other as "Stingers in the Wild" sightings.:laugh:

Where are our Hill Stinger members? Must be too busy working. :P @Gordo lives in/near Daybreak, but he's infrequent on the forum (heh, his was the first "Stinger in the Wild" I saw, c. nine months after he joined the forum; then he posted, coincidentally, really soon after that to show off his tail light tint, and that was his 2nd post in most of a year). Then we have several more Utah Stingers on here, from Happy Valley to Roosevelt. Come on you guys ... :geek:

I think it has something to do with length of my reply because I can post short replies! But yes Merlin, I do live in WJ right by the high school! I will have to be on the lookout for you!

"The high school": which one, West Jordan High or Copper Hills High?
