Limp mode (P0049) 3.3T :(

Well damn. Maybe double check connections of EWG wires if you have them.

Not 100% sure but make sure fuel wires are making good contact I didn’t end up using the wire tap instead I soldered the wires and didn’t have an issue since also since I’m in socal I don’t got 93 available so I’m doing 4.75Gal E85 and the rest 91. Car responds well and no issues
 
I hit 22.3 lbs of boost today in Map 1. 6th gear on highway.

I didn’t go into limp mode but I just ordered some cold air intakes. Thinking I should instal the Ewg wires at the same time.
 
EWG wires are required to slow the turbine down if you're getting a turbine speed too high fault code.
 
Mods:
AEM intakes
HKS spark plugs (0.22)
Ark (secondary downpipes)
JB4 (no EWG)
Muffler delete

Problem:
Around 90-100 (3rd to 4th / 4th to 5th) I’m having a cutoff issue with the car going in limp mode. As far as the boost gauge on the app It shows 21.7psi max. Every now and then the car shoots this code (P0049). I’m not too knowledgeable with the car or the JB4. Any info is appreciated thanks!


I have read your whole form and I had the same problem. I just got the EWGUI re installed and it’s doing much better but it is still kicking me sometimes!!! I would say she’s 80 or 90% better Hollyn ass for sure but how did you make it perfect to never cut out

Adjust FF as needed to keep boost on target. Some cars work OK with 40, others need a lower setting like 35 or 30.
