LED Headlights too bright?

When driving at night with LED headlights I keep getting flashed by oncoming traffic as if I had my high beams on. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Are the headlights aimed to high up. Picture attached showing the line of where the lights meet the road and to me almost seems a little far out and wondering if the headlights are aimed a little to high. Can they even be aimed?

As I was driving tonight I was thinking the exact opposite that they were aimed too low.

There should be a level adjustment screw somewhere near the headlight.

Looking at your photo I agree they appear high, I would refer this back to the dealer for adjustment/correction if required.

Not wishing to poke a hornets nest but i thought the lights were self leveling or is this another spec deviation between different countries? Certainly my cars lights dip and level when i get in and start the engine - at least at night this is the visible behavior. Not sure how that works when the lights come on automatically when driving though...

I’m running the top spec version here (same as yours I think) which have auto leveling headlights, and now at about 8000km on the clock I’ve never had that feedback from other cars. I’d get it checked....

Oh, for a service manual on this car....

I suspect there are limit stops on the range through which the computer is allowed to move the lights. No idea how the system works, however, but it might be unaware of changes in loading (weight in the rear) or if you have modded the suspension with springs. But certainly seems to need checking by the dealer.

It's in the manual, but does not show how to adjust.

Other KIA models have a simple gear adjustment down low on the assembly, I used a Torx driver to adjust them on my Sorento.

Stinger have the same.
It does not matter if manual or autoleveling.
At the end of the lamp are two holes.
U (two-sided-arrow) D, L (two-sided-arrow) R.
Don't touch L and R,its fixed.
U and D is up and down and can operated with a long cross-screwdriver.
Set the correct hight after the autoleveling has reached the zero-position...

Turn them off at night and only use them in the day time, Just make sure you only drive down lit streets.

You'll soon get used to it. lol

It looks as if you had the high beams on. Take it to the dealer they will be able to realign them.

Tell them to wear sunglasses lol! Shine bright like a diamond.....they are probably saying in Morse with their flashing lights..” holy crap that’s a nice car!”....and life goes on.....

I actually thought that was why the headlights move while driving, to blind oncoming cars from the opposite direction...

Apparently I need to adjust mine up, because driving at night it feels like if I'm over 45 then I'm overdriving the headlights. They seem to only light up ~3 car lengths ahead and dip way down in the center. Nowhere near the solid cut off like the above pics shows. My Optima was like those, nice bright and a sharp cutoff line. The Stinger doesn't look like that..... Time to try out the local dealer and see what happens....

Same issue here. Will ask the dealer to look at it at the next service.
