Hey guys, just wanted to post this here as I created a video version of how to do the lease buyout for those that want a "one stop shop" on how to do it.

I go through the steps on researching the Stingers pricing, where/how to find out what the current rebates/residuals are, how to negotiate and about what you should be "paying" for the car. Also then of course to perform the buyout.

I was in the car business and used my knowledge to try and think through literally every step of the process and make a very detailed video with links to websites and everything on how to do this step by step. Feel free to sticky this if you like the information I provided, and I hope this will help some people in the future!

Great info! I did the same thing with my Stinger. I immediately said to each dealer, "I want 10% off of MSRP, and then apply the rebate for a 24 month lease." Several dealers kept asking me, "Sure, but what do you want your monthly payments to be?" My reply, "I do not care b/c I'm going to buy out the lease right away." One sales guy said I was trying to "game the system." LOL!

Also, spot-on about the Adjusted Cap Cost. When I finally sat down to close the deal with the F&I guy, I immediately went to the "Adjusted Cap Cost" on the sheet, and looked for my number (right around $38k for a GT2 AWD). It was correct. That was the amount I paid off in full the following month.

For my buy-out, I was able to accomplish it without a dealer. I could've done it through the dealership that I bought it from, however, they wanted to charge me a $499 lease "grounding fee," and they tried telling me that I had to go through them for the lease buy-out. This was 100% false. I called Kia Finance directly, and they confirmed I could pay it off directly through them, and they'd send me the title within 10 business days. So, that's what I did! I also had to complete their online odometer statement (took exactly 15 seconds to fill out and submit).

That's awesome! Sorry for the super late reply, I wasn't getting notifications of post activity. Glad you were able to secure a great deal on a Stinger!
