Lane keep assist is garbage (actually Lane Folow Assist is garbage)

Are you sure you have Active Lane Keep Assist activated? Because it seems to me you are describing Standard Lane Keep Assist.
When I have it on Standard, it steps in only to keep the car from leaving the lane. When it's on Active then it will actively keep the car in lane. I can very easily let the car drive itself on the highway. If it's super windy, the steering sensors are fooled and it goes on forever without asking you to keep your hands on the steering wheel. Longest was 10min+ for me.
PS: It has nothing to do with the SCC. They function independently.

I should probably give it credit when it works right. First time commuting to work in a few weeks and I drove with LFA and ACC for about 15 miles and it didn't bounce around this time or go over the line it did give up at the normal spot on the off ramp and only re-engaged once I got into the new road. I still wish it had a chime when it disengages.

At least on my car, I can't get it to stop pinballing between the lines. I'll turn it on with smart cruise and after a few sweeping turns in the highway it'll drift back and forth between the lines, getting more and more aggressive each time until it either settles down or I yank the wheel to get it to center. It also has the habit of entering a turn on the inside and ending near the outside, which is particularly aggravating when I have another car at 10 or 2 o'clock.

Even worse, there is very little notification that LKA (Lane Keep Assist) LFA is no longer functioning aside from the steering wheel icon turning white and possibly a chime, but if there is a chime I didn't use it this morning.

I know it is not self-driving, but it actually takes more mental energy to use the system than it does to drive by hand.

This is sort of just a rant, but is this others' experience with it as well?

Thx I thought I was only one my gt2 stinger does exactly this too
