Yeah, I called TD straight away when I knew I was going to close with the dealer because I already have insurance with them, and like I said it took them some time to for them to get back to me, but on the very first call they said that they could get it done, they just had to wait for the underwriter - but there was no doubt from that first call that they were going to get it done. If you do call back to TD make sure that you say that you know there's at least one other person that you know of that has insurance for the Stinger.
Plus, it does make a difference which person you talk to. When we had to have our hail damaged roof replaced (through TD...), the first person we talked to said that they weren't sure they could do it, but if I wanted to start a claim they were going to start charging us an agency fee, and our premium would go up regardless of whether they would proceed with the claim or not. I was so angry I hung up, the next day, when I calmed down and called back to tell them to do it anyway (as the last item of business we would ever have), the person I talked to was like "What? I don't know why someone would have said that to you - that's definitely not our policy... " and went on to do a great job of getting us through the process easily and fairly.
If you call back it may work? Who knows, YMMV.
