Hey all,
I am posting here because I apparently don't have permissions to post in the "Stinger How to forum".

Unfortunately my Scorpion edition lost its intercooler to a bush. I am posting here in case there is anyone out there that experienced a similar accident where they had to work on the intercooler and radiator. Also can someone confirm that the larger item in 'image 2619' is the radiator?

I know the intercooler is pretty easy to swap out but the radiator is another story. I cant seem to find any information on replacing this thing. There are videos on replacing other Kia vehicles' intercooler but none for the stinger.

On top of that i somehow managed to crack the transmission oil pan so i need to get that replaced as well. And as you can imagine my bumper has seen better days.... I might just plastic weld the front bumper for the sake of time (and money XD).

I am pretty sure the radiator has to be swapped out , i thought the damage wasn't too bad to it but I was also leaking coolant... It’s weird because the coolant reservoir hasn't drained out yet so hopefully its a simple line change for that.

I just wish the price for a radiator was the same as the SC condenser in front of it lol. I just hope its not too long before i am back out on the road.

A shrubbery?

Monty Python ref, too.

You have struck the most deadly shrubbery recorded. I hit the pavement with the bottom of my bumper cover, in a deep gutter, and fractured my lower grille on both ends around the "tiger teeth". Required replacing of course. What I could hardly believe was that my bumper cover itself had not been mostly ripped off. I didn't even lose a single clip. But a bush did all that?? Incredible!

a combination of a slight incline, bush and a pile of rocks around the bush. Doesn't help that the transmission oil pan isn't made out of a harder material.

Glad I got the aluminium underwear update!

i didn't even know there was an aluminum version of the pan? If i hadn't already purchased the OEM version, i would've looked into this

Wow, sorry to hear about the incident!

By the looks of it, I would have thought you hit a tree and not a bush LOL.

On the plus side, this could be a great time to take the plunge on an upgraded intercooler.

Ultimate Performance makes a great intercooler at a really solid price point (CLICK HERE TO VIEW).

'tain't cheap, mcgee. but unique, well crafted and purrfik fitment.

But, do they mess with the aerodynamics? Probably not, but it is something to ponder.

Well, less flex I'm sure and finish smoother that the fiber stuff. Drain plug access and similar venting.
