Get it. Get it. Get it!
I know some RWD cars are having traction issues. "tractionally challanged" as I call them. Anyone figured out a nice launch for the RWD guys? I'm RWD and tire smoke is fun and all but spinning isn't winning. Torks shop car is RWD also, and he said he is also tractionally challenged.
I have a g70 and run the sport cup2 rear tire on my rwd. Also using the bms brake snip so I can do a burnout and I was able to get a 1.89 60’ with it. No idea what my 0-60 was since my draggy turned off while I was waiting in staging. I was running map 7 and had very little traction issues. Very minor wheel hop so there is still room to improve but it netted me my best 1/4 mileI have a RWD and traction is definitely an issue having a JB4 and other mods. I put on some wider wheels on in the back and planning to get some drag radials once the weather warms up so hopefully that will help.
Which is?my best 1/4 mile
12.32. I have horrible da in Vegas. 5300 is what I was at when I ran thatWhich is?
This is my best so far. Map 3 using launch control. Tried using the brake snip later that night but after the sun went down I was spinning my tires on the sticky dragstrip. I've had traction issues in map 5 using launch control and adjusting boost lower in 1st and 2nd as well. I'll be putting on some Nitto NT555R 285s so I hoping for some major improvements lol12.32. Did you do a burn out? I try to run my tires up to mid 3rd gear on the box Still doing better than I didThis is my best so far. Map 3 using launch control. Yeah that's way lower than I went lol. Think i did 25.I also air down my tires to 18 psi and they are 285 wide
Car over boosts easier when spinning the tires. No I didn't because I didn't want to wear down my stock tires too much and for some reason I think my car randomly goes into limp mode if the tires spin too long. I cant figure it out, sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't. Anyone else experience this?
so i ran 18psi in both tires use map 7 and only held 1 pounds of boost in first gear. still had very little wheel hop so i will try 2 psi in first gear next time i go and see how that works i even checked my log and actually launched at 8 pounds of boost. so i was impressedYeah that's way lower than I went lol. what do you mean that you are not sure if its traction issues? If you loose traction you can feel it, hear it, etc....should be way obvious as youre sliding around/getting wheel hopView attachment 38910
Installed my JB4 and this is my best run on map 2.
it seems map 3/5 are way slower, I don’t know if it’s a traction issue or my card downshifting.
I put 4 gallons of e85 and the rest of the tank and 93.
many ideas?

gotcha. youll need .csv logs to figure that out. The actual JB4 forum will get you the quickest answer, or you could try to @Terry@BMS. Good luckso it feels like wheel hop, my car also went limp trying a launch control on map 5 so I stopped trying.
I wanted to make sure it wasn’t a bad mixture of e85 or something as well.
I figured the awd would keep traction that’s why it’s throwing me off

Traction/Log HelpLog of the run might shed light on where you can improve it!
