Drag/Acceleration Kia Stinger 0-60 MPH Times

That was with a passenger so I’m going to remove my spare tire and go alone and try again but I gotta wait till like 2 am haha also I saw the sign was the 1/4 mile mark so I’m going to try to do a full 1/4 but it will be a close one

im going to post to my YouTube page for the vid so others can see it I did a video draggy run for it

Fun with data....
These are 3 of my runs from yesterday. 3.93 was LC, 3.99 was LC and wheelspin in 1 and 2 (damp road), 4.05 was AH (Auto hold).
Interesting to see how the initial launch and the 1-2 shift impact the times. Car shifts at 37 MPH. Gray line is the difference between the two runs at each data point.

And one more comparing my 3.93 run to @Stormlasher 4.16. Pretty level up to 30 MPH. Storm should be heading for a sub 4 second run, then the 1-2 shift and loses ground, almost .1

upload_2019-1-16_9-18-4.webp

Same here. Storm is ahead by .05 @ 20 and 30 MPH, heading for another sub 4 second run. 1-2 Shift and loses .12 seconds.
Roll racers hate to face that shifting speed / power matters in 0-60 and 1/4 miles. 4 shifts in a quarter mile and this explains the .3 to .4 ECU tune advantage over box cars. Yeah I've said this many times and everyone resists but the G map and time stamps of the 0-60 do illustrate this nicely.

That might ruin your slope %.

snow this weekend, should give me some time to play with these.

Do me a favor and let me know how it affects your times as your ECU "learns" about them. I have noticed that things get a bit funky at first and you end up with slower than expected times, then as everything comes together again and you get faster!

May be obvious, but I'm more asking about how many miles/pulls it takes you!

lol it can't be any worse than California. They cap the property tax at around 1.2% but you pay on a ridiculously overpriced home value. =/

Hey, that box looks familiar ... :) I found the installation was very straightforward, as everything was well designed and fit as it was supposed to. Looking forward to hear how it works out in combination with your other performance mods.

I didn't see a big performance jump with those as the only modification, but believe it's a necessary prerequisite to further upgrades that can make use of greater airflow. They do look really sharp and have a great sound under hard acceleration ...

No comments? I always get push back from the roll racers on this kind of analysis.
Here is one more. This one is even better. @KLRStinger is probably the highest HP AWD stinger (FBO). Looking at the gray delta line on the excel graph, I get initial jump then we stay almost even at 10,20,30 MPH. On the 30-40 MPH / 1-2 Shift i gain a whopping .13 seconds. His HP kicks in early 2nd gear and he takes back .05 but gives back .11 50-60 as he cuts power earlier for the 2-3 shift. You can also see this same story in the orange G graph on the dragys.

The analysis is flawed but it's really a waste of time and energy to discuss.

My advice to everyone: Just post your best times, log of the runs, and the mods/fuel/conditions you used to get there.

And one more for those that want to claim "dig" and "momentum". This one KLR has the jump and a .12 and growing lead at 30 MPH. At the 1-2 shift he loses .11, hits power in 2nd gear and takes back .05 and heading into the 2-3 shift gives up .09. KLR had a sizeable lead and gave it up in 2 shifts.

Point out the flaws please i would like to learn. Two AWD cars running 0-60s.
I think people want to figure out how to go faster.

Tbh I don’t know the fancy stuff I’m just insane and still learning all the car stuff and quick haha ask me anything about computers or anime and I got all the answers Cars all I got is he said she said haha but give me a year or 2 and I’ll be talking cars flawlessly. I see numbers I buy stuff I go fast XD that’s all you will get out of me and btw I got a 3.9 but it was invalid by 1.3% slope I’m probly going to wait a bit till spring time but in spring time map3 wmi and 20 inch summer tires.
