K8stingerstore.com terrible customer service story

I’d bet David made more money with this thread than without.

Unsure, but I do know it's made me weary of placing preorders with any company (not just K8stingerstore) who structures the purchase in a way the customer isn't provided guarantees of delivery time and has their money held hostage indefinitely, else be charged cancellation fees for factors well outside of the buyer's control. This thread raises more questions than it answers (see my prior replies).

Drop shipping is a great strategy for resellers, until it's not.

It definitely left me with the impression that David is extremely fair. I wouldn't hesitate to do biz with him once I have my Stinger. The OP came out looking pretty bad and/or immature.

I had an extremely unpleasant experience with David at K8 in the past and briefly mentioned it in an old post and had several people PM about their negative experiences with him as well, so not everyone is happy with his customer service. He is very skilled at gas lighting and making it seem like he is the victim, and it seems to have garnered him favor in the minds of the mob.

He is very skilled at gas lighting and making it seem like he is the victim, and it seems to have garnered him favor in the minds of the mob.

the OP’s issue isn’t with K8, it is with the CC company’s policy of not refunding the transaction fee. And that’s the norm now

K8 has always been transparent, communicative and present in the community. David’s immediate response to this is priceless. There’s only a handful of vendors like K8 and JB that are family here to the stinger community. That is valuable in an environment devoid of a pandemic or a where there’s a ship blocking the suez. I would hate to see that value tarneshed in any way over $18 that isn’t even in his pocket

And $18 is a lot of money. I’m not devaluing that. But K8 doesn’t have it. OP should direct his frustrations to the CC company

Bottom line..return and cancellation policy was posted. OP didn’t read carefully, credit card companies don’t refund service fees. This is why there are restocking fees for returned merch as well.
You can’t make everyone happy all the time but I’ve dealt with David enough in the past to know his character and never done me wrong. The OP was given a future credit to offset which is above and beyond.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion.
 
K8 STINGER STORE DROPPED THE BALL ON A FORUM MEMBER! LMAO im sorry for the hassle and maybe its just bad luck but damn thats a classic move keeping money for something that was never in their possession
