Keep adding washers until it stops making noise. Design flaw.
They can also try neoprene washers. Worked well for me.Use thinner washer it works great did it three years ago know problem. Just find right thickness it’s very close has to be the right size
Mine seems to be coming back after two years since dealer fixed it. Going to use the methods on here to fix it. When I get around to it.I went to my local dealer and picked up the kit. Cost a whopping $1.50CDN. Haven't insralled yet. I did turn the stopper about 3/4 turn out. On my last drive to the grocery store, I noticed NO noise from the hatch.
Finally got around to installing the kit. I also added eome round bumpers i got from my local CT. good luck. I have a new 2020 gt-line with 1,300 miles on it and am having the same issue.What Stinger are you considering ? What other cars are you looking at ? What do you drive now ?
Check out reply 151, get the kit from Kia (cost about $1.50) and buy some of the 5/16 M8 washers from your local hardware store. 15min and you have it fixed.good luck. I have a new 2020 gt-line with 1,300 miles on it and am having the same issue.
