I got the Red Injen Intakes and installed them myself. Passenger side went well - very easy. Driver's was a little more difficult, but more so do to a defective part. The larger pcv tube (12mm) would not line up without pinching the hose. The air filter was crammed so low it barely would go on due to the angle of the pipe being aimed downwards. Injen replaced the driver's side one under warranty. I installed the replacement and the air filter now goes on easier, but the 12mm hose is still having a problem kinking up - the bend is too tight. Has anyone else had this issue? How did you correct it? I am trying to find a 12mm molded hose with a 45 degree angle in it. Any suggestion will be appreciated. Thanks!20210408_163330[1].jpg

With all of the Injen intakes out there, I can't be the only one with this issue. Maybe a slight design change in the car in the '20 model year - I don't know. Post up pictures if you have them - I want to do a comparison.

I cut (shorten) the hose.

I had to cut it also. Maybe put a clamp on the kink if you're having trouble still.

I've tried cutting it shorter. I tried shorter - bought more hose and tried longer and shorter again. The fit sucks. The input on the intake tube is in the wrong spot. The smaller diameter one (10mm) was shortened, too. It works just fine.

I had the same pinching issue, it took some fine adjustments of the intake position and cutting of the hose to make it fit.

Looks like you made it work. I gave up after the 4th try and 3 different hoses. I may tackle it again. I'm still looking for a molded hose with a 45 or 60 degree angle in it.

Man I thought I was the only one - I have the same kink issue on the exact same hose. Tried trimming it down but couldn't get it to un-kink so I left it kinked but I have a feeling that later down in the road it'll form a crack in the hose. I was thinking of buying a replacement hose - what kind of hose is this? Is it something I can get at Lowe's/Home Depot/any hardware store? What specific type of hose should I be looking for?

There's some wiggle room in how you can position the intake pipe itself. You've just got to find the right position and tighten everything up so it'll stay that way. That's how I got it to work.

@brianwithnoy contact Injen, I think they'll send you another one. Definitely fix the kink, you don't want to restrict airflow to anything.

Just use a vacuum hose, its more pliable. There is no pressure on that hose so you don't have to worry about pressure build up. Heck I would even leave the clamps off.

Also, you can vent the BOV's to atmosphere for a slightly louder whistle. Doesn't hurt anything.

It's basically a vacuum or fuel line hose. I've been researching a molded hose from Gates or something similar with a 45 or 60 degree angle molded into it. It's been a challenge. You can get hoses at most autoparts store. It's a 12mm, but a 15/32" hose will work as well.

Trust me. The first one was one and off three times trying to make it work. With a bracket welded on it to bolt to the inner fender and a turbo to mount up to limits it movement greatly. It's a piss poor design. Period.

Maybe if you go to your local auto parts shop, you can look through a variety of molded PCV type hoses, as long as it is long enough, you can cut it to fit the way you need.

that shit was so damn annoying.

I have been doing the Google search - found that Gates makes several 12mm molded hoses. The only store I could find with one locally was O'Reilly's. I may venture there and try them. I have also thought about just getting a longer hose and make a loop around in it.

Silicon hose. More pliable

Thanks! I found some on Amazon. Haven't tried it yet. Does it really help?
