Back story:

-Ordered a Boostec G4 Carbon fiber lip for my Stinger which arrived with out the hardware required to mount it to the car

-Emailed Import Shark asking about the missing bolts and they replied that it doesn't come with them nor any instructions, also they couldn't even tell me what I needed, when I asked further they said to take it to a professional and have them figure it out. I mentioned every other kit comes with mounting hardware and for $500 expect the same, they said that its $500 and not $800

-a day before that happened I placed a order for TPMS so I could install them on my summer tires along with rear reflector replacements (figured I'd save on shipping ordering it at the same time). It took them 9 days to reply to me as to me as to why it didn't ship or provide an update. I had to publicly call them out for them to reply through the forum.

-During my conversation with @ImportShark Elvis he explained "I don’t work with emails or run the entire company to say what works or what does not work. Let’s just get info on your order and if you don’t like how the company works don’t order again not a problem just trying to help on your order." its been 5 days since that chat and I still have no update to my order.

-At this point I am frustrated and explain in the G4 thread that it doesn't come with the required hardware and the vendor is being difficult and not responding to me, they seem to get pissed at this and just say I am being negative about them (But I am for a reason)

-While shopping around I figured I would give ImportShark a opportunity to redeem them self as maybe it was just 1 botched order. So I messaged @ImportShark Elvis directly asking about a flange for a HKS BOV and his response was this "Hey man look around I’m sure you would find some. just don’t want to work with people that start drama like you have. I know ADD W1 sales them. Hope you understand."

So let me get this straight THIS IS CONSIDERED STARTING DRAMA: being annoyed about a $500 item missing basic mounting hardware, calling out the company about not replying to emails, calling out the company about no order update after 2.5 weeks

So basically if you complain about anything you are starting drama.....

You had a opportunity to fix the situation and failed multiple times.....

@ImportSharkMike
@ImportShark Elvis

I answered all your messages right away letting you know lip does not come with hardware same thing mike told you in emails and TPMS Are coming from Korea since they got sold out. I told you this.

keep in mind I don’t answer just because you put a post like this and yes it’s correct I told you I don’t want to do business with people that start drama and yes it’s drama when I’m answering all your messages looking for a solution and you just keep making post about us and you still question why I don’t want to do business with you come on.

Not sure why I’m tagged but hope you find a vendor your happy with.

You didn't address any of the issues I posted about. Only pointing fingers back at me...

Why did I get no reply to emails about my order for 9 days, I emailed sales@ImportShark.com

Why doesn't the site mention its coming from Korea or even reach out saying its not in stock.

You can still update my oder but that hasn't been done in 2.5 weeks. Stop deflecting, man up and fix the issue.

Reed what you just posted I don’t handle the emails feel free to email them.
I’m not the developer of the website and nobody is pointing fingers at you.
What issue? we are still waiting for the sensors from Korea like all the other vendors that order from Korea.

not sure what you want to accomplish here.

Ok since I'm being dragged in here to set the record straight about a few things, here we go....

-Ordered a Boostec G4 Carbon fiber lip for my Stinger which arrived with out the hardware required to mount it to the car
The product description specifically DOES NOT state that hardware is included. If it was so important to you, then you could have asked before purchasing it.

-Emailed Import Shark asking about the missing bolts and they replied that it doesn't come with them nor any instructions, also they couldn't even tell me what I needed, when I asked further they said to take it to a professional and have them figure it out. I mentioned every other kit comes with mounting hardware and for $500 expect the same, they said that its $500 and not $800
Note that the bolts were not, in fact, missing and also there are no instructions either. How many bodykit parts on the entire market include instructions? Less than half that's for sure. I should also state that we've sold 19 of 20 carbon fiber Boostec G4 front lips as well as a couple fiberglass ones which I didn't count and quite literally ONE person is complaining about a handful of pieces of hardware not being included. That's you.

We hadn't done the install on a local car yet and therefore couldn't provide you with (or in this case, spoon feed) the information you were looking for. The reply was certainly not as flippant as "take it to a professional and have them figure it out". The exact phrasing was "Pretty much all manufacturers have it assumed that professional installation will be utilized." If you couldn't take a hint, since we're acting so mature here with the complaining, let me say that the above statement was a hint that you aren't qualified to be playing with your car and to have someone who does take care of the install for you. Of course, I wouldn't come straight out and say that knowing full well what the problem here was (your lack of mechanical knowledge), so the simple statement should have been sufficient for you take the bait and figure it out for yourself. Guess not. However the fact remains that about 20+ others purchased this same exact item and nobody had an issue. Therefore it wasn't a pressing need for us to do a local install to get that information. (Whether to provide verbally or include in the box).

The fact that you "expect" something to be included does not preclude the fact that it's not--nor is it advertised as such. If you wanted to spend hundreds of dollars more, then you should have just done that and hoped that everything down to the last comma on the instruction sheet were included. Have you taken a gander at what's out there in that price range? G4 Werks and SBM/VIS--and neither of those include instructions. Based on what I was told, neither the G4W or SBM/VIS include the bolts to mount to the car either. These cost more!

Maybe the current world affairs haven't exactly reached you in Canadaland, but in case you haven't noticed, there's a worldwide pandemic going on right now. Not only has this impacted the New York City area (where Elvis and I live) more than ANYWHERE ELSE IN THE WORLD, it's also increased the amount of ecommerce purchases from the general public and delays from parts coming from Korea as well. What does this mean? We're incredibly busy and I personally don't have the time to baby you about a simple installation which you're making a mountain out of a molehill about. To be quite honest, you gave such an attitude in your email that I didn't even want to stress myself over the weekend to reply to your next email. I also knew that Elvis was answering your questions though. Maybe next time just act normally when contacting a company. Especially in the pandemic climate, people don't need to hear the attitude. I sure as hell don't.

Elvis might not be as eloquent as I am but he was implying that if you don't like us so much then nobody's forcing you to buy from here. He wasn't telling you to "go f**k off". He was trying to help you--and he did state that. And I'm not quite sure why you felt the need to ask for an update when the order isn't even supposed to have departed yet. Maybe you want your TPMS sensors badly, but did you forget that you also ordered a custom item as well that's SUPPOSED TO TAKE 4-6 WEEKS? (See the below screenshot). If you didn't read the product description then that's certainly not our fault.

-At this point I am frustrated and explain in the G4 thread that it doesn't come with the required hardware and the vendor is being difficult and not responding to me, they seem to get pissed at this and just say I am being negative about them (But I am for a reason)
I'm sorry to say this, but your fabricated "problems" are very minor considering what's going on out there in the world. Elvis has way more patience than I do and even he's up in arms about this situation--most notably your behavior. I'm happy to help in any scenario but if someone's going to give me an attitude right off the bat, then I need to keep it at arm's length. Normally you would have received a reply within 24 hours, but given the special handling that's needed for you (not to mention you shouldn't be counting the weekend), that timeframe isn't wholly unreasonable when we're, again, taking the pandemic situation into account.

Again, being bilingual sometimes has it's downfalls--you can't nit pick so heavily about how something is phrased over the interwebs. Considering how you acted in the other thread, I can see why Elvis doesn't want to deal with you. Heck if you emailed the site in a cool, levelheaded way, I would have helped just to make things right because I know you weren't happy about the bolts not being included with that front lip. Now what am I supposed to do?

Ahh, the perfect importshark response. So refreshing to see no matter how time changes things importshark remains the same. Good times.

Maybe your snide, uneducated comments amuse the rest of the trolls, but if you can't bother to read the context and weigh in with mature conversation then what are you doing here?

You're the one to talk about using snide, uneducated comments. I'd shut the f*ck up and not talk about COVID not reaching "Canadaland" you dumbass.

@ImportSharkMike lol @ your reply, further proof why I won't deal with you guys again.

Remember prospective clients will read this AND your reply.

Also I've ordered from other vendors during the pandemic it didn't take them 2.5 weeks to update a order or reply to a email takes 20 seconds. Also your on lock down like the rest of the world everyone has more time now. Its disgusting for you to use the pandemic as a excuse for your inability to serve your customers. This complaint is nothing new to ImportShark, and well before the pandemic...so nice excuse

Yeah we are pretty f&*%ed here, already lost a family member to this BS. But again we are in "Canadaland" so we don't have anything going on. How disrespectful

Here is reason enough not to order from that site. It's not even secure, that means any personal information you type into that site including credit card information can be stolen by any halfwit hacker. If that's not reason enough to stay away I don't know what is.

I use pay pal, they also have a great refund policy.

For the record, my Maxton Design front lip shipped from the UK in a week and came with hardware and instructions. It was $350 CAD shipped... It also included a nice hoodie with the Maxton logo on it.

I don’t think it’s too much to ask that a $500 product include the hardware at a minimum.

I’ve read too many horror stories about this vendor so I’ll stick to reputable ones like Maxton.

Thanks for sharing your story and sorry for the bad experience. If you are planning on installing your lip I can send you a photo of the leftover hardware I have from Maxton so you can purchase what you need.

Doesn’t anyone research vendors anymore? Type in “importshark” and see what comes up. Besides their website, it’s an entire list of negative 1 star reviews. Pages of them. Why would ANYONE give these people money when there are so many better alternatives? Can they satisfy enough people to stay in business? Probably and unfortunately the answer is Yes. If they were the only ones to carry a part I really wanted, I would never give them a dime.

The best thing about this thread is that 10 years from now when someone does research importshark this thread will come up (along with hundreds of others around the internet) and the perspective customer will get to see how they handle unhappy customers.

I don't think Importshark Mike has figured out how the internet works yet.

I ordered a M&S front lip ( $400cnd) , came with all 10 bolts, 3m Tape and M&S stickers... I am pretty sure all lips come with hardware (unless it is specified it doesn't !) Took a week ... with the Pandemic, worldwide Pandemic ... cross borders.

I want to give you the benefit of the doubt however I seen your replies on the FB group as well which matches those emails responses ... Customer service is key for repeat customer but I guess that was not part of your business plan.

I am mostly out of even browsing your site because of your comment on "Canadaland" - sounded very bigotry and unpleasantly borderline ignorant.

I looked on your website and didn't even see anywhere it mentions there is no hardware included - OF COURSE EVERYONE is going to think it comes with it ...
