I'm taking a cross country trip just me and my Stinger

You all will troll me for saying this..... I would hate to put all those miles on the stinger LOL I know I know, its a car... meant to be driven. I plan to do this during the summer months in the Malibu. Starting in Ohio going East to the Atlantic, down south following I-95.

I appreciate you documenting this. I'm sorry to hear about your father and I'm sure he was enjoying the ride as much as you were. Great journey! I have something to look forward to now, awesome!
Ill say this I could've bought a more expensive car that would've made me more apprehensive but I feel like the Stinger is excellent value and it is a GT car after all which is meant to be taken on long trips (as mentioned early in this thread)
Besides what's the point of owning something if you don't use it?

I was looking at an S5 Sportback, Panamera, A7, and a Charger SRT. The Stinger is practicality at an unbeatable price, it's a no brainer. Plus the warranty sealed the deal for me. I'm not a snob so I don't care I say I own a KIA.

I have the Malibu to put miles on. With miles, comes problems. If it were a diesel, that's a different story. It makes it that much more special when I do drive it.

So the drive back from Beaumont TX to Atlanta is pretty boring, there was a couple places I wanted to stop like Avery Island Tobasco tour and New Orleans but the tours were closed and it was rainy most of the way back so no photos from there. I also wanted to do tail of the dragon but ran out of time, my 2 week trip became a 3 week trip. I'll do another update with some takeaways and some numbers.

Although I am a big FAN of the car, this is why i dislike Corvette owners.......DRIVE THE DAMN CAR!!!! Even if I had hit it big with GAMESTOP and purchased a C8 Vette or something along the lines, I would drive the darn thing. That is why I would buy it......makes me sick to see a 2010 or little later Vette with only 3K miles on it!!! Great buy if you are in the market for a used though.

Plan on a Stinger GT or should I even say the word, Supra by the end of the year but I guarantee which ever I choose, my 2.0 will have some miles on it.....plus, I like driving the car too much to let it sit.....

Preach! I want a Lotus Elise so bad I'm really trying hard to get one but they're pretty rare and the price is not the problem, I want one so I can drive the shit out of it

haha. My neighbor to my right has a Corvette that is rarely driven. And have a neighbor two to my left that rarely drives his. lol smh.

Usually when you do see these cars, they are the ones driving 50MPH in the fast lane of the freeway.

MY POINT EXPLAINED!!!!!!!!! Mileage says it all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Brand new that car was over 50K and that was 2013!!!!!!!!!!! 5K miles!!!!!!! And you don't drive the darn thing??????? My Stinger does not have to suffer the same fate.............

*Note.........hate to be "Benedict Arnold' here but although I didn't try to buy it, I did test drive it and it runs/drives just like BRAND NEW!!!!!! LOL.
SAD.......LOL

Owner probably died of old age... everyone I see driving them is well over 65

It was a one owner......garage kept.....even the interior didn't have much wear on it....anyway, make mine a Stinger!!!!!!

Did that save the bumper cover edge, or would what you hit with the lip have missed the actual car?
I honestly don't know what happened, I either bumped a concrete barrier or I hit a dip too fast but the front end is ok otherwise. I was missing some of the spacers so maybe the screw fell out but that section of the spoiler was completely missing

I've been trying to post a screen shot of my trip 4 times now and I keep getting kicked off the site
I press refresh and it says the site is down what gives

7,123 miles driven
22.6 avg. MPG
2 speeding tickets
~$6k spent
4 brake pads and rotors replaced
2000+ pictures taken

A few takeaways, my favorite part of the trip was driving up HWY 1, second was Carlsbad Caverns followed by Reno Car Museum and Grand Canyon. Vegas might be more fun with more people but I won't be going back, the strippers couldn't get naked, guess being naked gives you the coof somehow.

If you ever visit the Grand Canyon DO NOT stay at the El Tovar hotel it was both the most expensive and the worst hotel I stayed at the entire time; very old creaky place with no elevator, $339 got me the smallest room I stayed in and the AC unit sounded like a jet fighter taking off, the restaurant was not that good either. Holiday Inns are legit for the price, The Royal Palms in Phoenix was the best hotel and the best restaurant I went to, totally worth it.
