hi all! i’m new but i’ve been stalking this forum for a couple of days now cause i’ve been searching for modding ideas. i haven’t been super into cars until i got my beautiful 2022 kia stinger and i’ve been so excited to work on it.

problem is i don’t know where to start, what i want to do, or how to do it. so im coming here to ask yall for suggestions!

my current plan for right now is doing the interior and then maybe expanding to the exterior and stuff like that. i finally finished installing some ambient lighting that i got off of amazon last weekend and im in love!

i also recently bought fuses to “swap out” the reading and dome lights but im pretty sure they’re not the right ones and im not even sure how to swap em. 😅

anyways let me know what i should and shouldn’t do this i’m pretty new to all this!

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. I’m glad you found us. How long have you had your Stinger? And what did it replace for you?

i’ve had my stinger for 3 years now and it replaced my 2013 nissan sentra. not not get me wrong i also loved my sentra but i started getting transmission issues and i couldn’t keep driving it like that. thanks for the warm welcome!

Mmm, Ascot Green. Distinctive and relatively rare. I have only seen two, both at the dealership, none on the road - well, a "maybe", but the light was dim evening and Ascot looks black except under direct light at night.

My recommendation is to change brakes. Ima currently in the process of putting OEM Brembos on our '19 Premium. The reason is security/safety. You have to push harder to get the equivalent stopping power with the OEM brakes on any of the 4 cylinder-engine cars. That's because they are 2-front 1-rear piston calipers and smaller rotors. The Brembo calipers are 4-piston and 2-piston respectively and the rotors are c. 1" larger in diameter. Stopping distance difference is dramatic. In '18 Motor Trend took 182 feet at 60 MPH to stop a 2.0L Stinger. The GT-Line can stop in 124 feet. A Brembo-equipped Stinger can stop in 104 feet. This is just considering brakes differences.

Also, the visual will be greatly enhanced. The bog standard calipers on the GT-Line and earlier 2.0L cars are so "meh" to look at.

Tires are another big factor in stopping power. We run Nitto Motivo 365 UHP A/S squared 225 on 18" OEM wheels. Other than a summer compound tire I think the Nitto 365 are as good as it gets for grip.

Welcome to the Stinger family!

Its great to meet newer mod enthusiasts to this platform.

We specialize in helping out community members, like yourself build their dream Stinger.

Not only do we have an entire site dedicated to you but we are also available through email or chatbox to help answer any any and all of your questions.

My recommendation right off the bat would be to do one cosmetic part (a spoiler) and one performance part (Intakes) this helps you cover ground evenly.

A spoiler on the Stinger really helps the car to look much more sports car oriented and the intake is great because it provides some engine noise and performance.

Feel free to reach out to us at any time, we look forward to hearing from you!
