10000% agreeI don't think the intake or exhaust is going to make a difference.
Thanks guys! One more thing, after I pull the manifold to replace the plugs, is the gasket still good? Or do I need to replace it?
On the scale of 1-10, how much of a PITA is this? (time spent for average garage mechanic and blood spilled from large hands lol)
It's not to bad as long as u have patience the hardest parts is those dam clamps on every single hose is pointing down so it's a pain to turn them around to put pliers on them. I would consider myself an average DIY so I'm definitely no professional mechanic. But definitely try to keep your bolts organized I would say that's the most important part. Oh and one hose on the back of the intake was a pain to get lose so I just left it connected and just prop the intake manifold up out the wayOn the scale of 1-10, how much of a PITA is this? Ohhh, you have to loosen the weird ass bolt on that clamp. I didn't have and have never seen the proper tool for loosening that thing so I used a pair of pliers instead. It took a long time and my forearms got a good workout but it's the only way I could figure to do it. If you have vice-grips they'll make short work of it.
I noticed in Tork's video they had a different bolt there so I assume they replaced it with a bolt with a normal head, which is probably a good idea.
The clamps on the charge pipe to throttle body rubber adapter have caps on them. Use a flat head screwdriver and you can pop them off and what you have exposed is an 8mm screw head. Just a heads up, those caps aren't magnetic and if you drop them in the engine bay you probably aren't getting them back. I lost one.
Lol thought it was just me back was hurting tooGreat write ups ! good work Yall .....so I called around just to see what a shop would charge if and when I decide to change out my plugs...a couple of the shops havnt even seen one of these...and said no thanks to me...and these are so called tuner shops....the other few are snobbish pricks that don't work on Kia's....well F them....one shop sez yep no problem....250 billsthe hospital sez 30k to fix my back after I change the plugs out myself

Nice I'm glad u tried it out. Stoked it can be done without removing all that stuffI removed my plugs and adjusted the gap without removing the intake. Two swivels attached to a spark plug socket. 30 minutes tops
