OH Cruiser, what's the status of the Sparco install?
Could not do anything with it last weekend. Hopefully can do it this one. Already got several feet of c-channel for bracket.OH Cruiser, what's the status of the Sparco install?
That seat is definitely much better for track purposes. Because of the material you dont slide at all. Side bolstering doesn't look too supporting, but it works fine.I took couple of sharp corners on my way back home yesterday. It was pretty cool feeling, knowing how my body slided on leather seat before. But it is not as comfortable as stock (and the stock seat IS VERY comfortable). And i am hopping, with some adjustments it will be more daily drivable. Like i sad, i will live with it for a week to see if i like it. I didn't install sliders, it is fixed in place. It sits lower than stock. Have about 4-5 inches to the roof now. And i bolted seat belt reciever to the bracket. That looks pretty good. Not the lightest of seats but if the functionality improves that's still good. My worries for the track would be the side and hip bolstering not being aggressive enough. Do you have it on a slider? Or is that hard mounted? did you raise the level of the seat up any? It looks like it's a little lower than the stock one. Nice work on the brackets. If you can make me a set of brackets that would be great! LOL, sort of.
I think I'm going to put the "planted" bracket in mine, and put in sliders.
Oh, how did the seat belt receiver work? is it bolted to the seat or to the car?
I like the look of the seat, nice work!!! Keep me posted on comfort, and usability.
Edit: thanks for taking all the pictures too.
