How to change your Wiper blades the proper way

Thanks for that. much appreciated. My Citroen C5 does this a lot simpler but none-the-less great to know. By the way Kia couldn't tell me how to do this on my new GTS when I asked them. :)

not just r/r wiper blades but for us snow lovers...kidding.... we need to do this before any ice or storm accumilation

just the parked position for winter weather btw....didn't expect to change the wipers at every snowflake........I asked the dealer about replacement blades, they only had a simple replacement without the added design that comes with the original wiper(s)

Wish I knew this before I tried lifting them up only to notice they rubbed horribly on the hood. I was wondering the proper way to replace them.

I guess you chipped your own hood? My PPF wraps around the rear edge of the hood, and that saved me.

Didn't chip it but it did rub hard enough to discolor. As soon as I realized there was friction I stopped. Luckily you really can't see it so no big deal.

That's a great tip ! Thanks ! I wish my Kia dealer (or owner's manual) would have told me about that...

My new GTS blades suck! I already replaced the drivers side with a Michelin blade, the OEM was chattering so bad

It is even easier... After arrival and shut off - just hold the wiper switch in the up position for a few seconds. No need to press start button twice... ;)

So while the car is shut off, just hold the wiper blade up for a few seconds? Nice! Thanks for the tip! :)

Any suggestions on blades? Pretty sure I need(want) new ones lol.

For winter I’m using Trico Ice Extreme ones and so far I like them.

Thanks. I'm not in a wintery environment though(southern US).

I'm looking at the Bosch MicroEdge, pretty good reviews and cheap enough on Amazon. Might go for a set of those.
