How often are the Korea to Australia ships sailed?

Does any one know how often Australia gets new delivery's of Stingers from Korea? I am getting curious about how quickly Dealers can acquire new 2019 built stock.

I've read someone that "K"Line car carriers are used; and according to this timetable it looks like it's just one shipment from Korea each month; via Japan then down the south coast of Australia. (And a separate route for Darwin/Perth). But I'm not sure if other cargo companies are also used; or do they also offload cars half-way for 'non-direct' routes?

Or if anyone in the industry knows; does Kia Australia keep a stockpile of wholesale stock on shore for Dealers to purchase - or is it all pretty much imported on demand as dealers request stock?

There is a Kia holding yard with stock so i was told last week.

From memory from factory door to dealer i was quoted 9 weeks back in 2017.

I've tracked a couple of VINs on carsales via the Kia Hotline portal that would appear to show that ~4 week is possible (if timed correctly?)

A typical RORO Ship (Roll On Roll Off) will hold between 5000 and 8500 cars based on size of the cars/trucks, I would expect 3 to 4 ships to sail from South Korea each year on average to Australia, it may be less but unlikely to be more. These ships will service Kia, Hyundai, Daewoo and SsangYong, they would only ship enough to service to local market for all 4 brands. I'm pretty sure the shipping would be direct to Australia and not a many hop trip also. It's 20 days by sea from South Korea to Sydney or 23 days to Melbourne, but Melbourne WEBB Dock is the largest car import terminal in AU, and would get the bulk I would think.

KIA/HYUNDAI also use Ray Car Carriers. MV Gravity Highway did an East coast run in February but hasn't returned. It's unit capacity is 7700.

I would also assume these same ships would also hop across the ditch for NZ/Pacific Island deliveries as well.
