I’m bored w my Stinger and got 18 mo. Left on lease.

2019 GT1. 11k miles.

Best color combo -
Ceramic Silver, Red interior.

How much you think Carmax will give me?
How much you think it’s worth on Private Market?

Carmax might give you $30,000 and you might get $32,000 selling it yourself.

Don't know how one gets bored of the stinger. Maybe the 2.0 but not the GT. Anyways CarMax should give you high 30s, depends on where you life and what the demand is. Stinger is pretty popular here in Cali.

This is a AWD with every option selected and in excellent condition. Don't expect to see Carmax paying higher than KBB's suggested range. Also, check NADA values. CarMax's payouts tend to follow the values listed on those two sites.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
I would suggest getting quotes from places like carvana or vroom. Takes 5 minutes without having to leave the house.

Car values are based on historical sales. History just changed.

Also, Carmax is generally only going to offer what they can get for a car at auction, with some profit thrown in. They aren't looking to stock their lots.

Depends on the car. For older cars, yes, CarMax will only give you what they can get at auction. For a newer car, they will sell it directly and give you more for it.

Either way, the market is extremely volatile right now, and it's probably a bad time to sell if you're looking for max selling price.

if they gave me high 30s I would sell in a second. I’m thinking 30 is more like what they’ll offer.

volatile? Trump says he’s reopening the economy next week

The TOP price attained through Manheim Auctions for a 2019 GT1 was $33,000 on March 2, 2020. NADA Black book value which is driven by the auction data puts it at $29,600. That’s why I suggest you mist get $30,000 from CarMax or another place for trade-in.

Now, keep in mind that is wholesale value.

Depending on the new model you are looking at, it may have manufacturer to dealer cash they can use to make it look like you are getting a higher trade value.

Sorry, but if you want a real valuation through KBB you MUST chose the instant offer quote. KBB does not clean their data like NADA so it is tainted: That is why as lenders, we don’t use KBB for valuations.

Interesting. How did you come by these numbers? Are they publicly available, or do you need to be a dealer to access the page?

He can’t do that. States make their own decisions and some are just now closing down.

Best offer on mine (immaculate GT2, with 7500 miles) is $34k.

Lease buyout is $37.5k.

This is why I lease. Depreciation is getting close to my total payments for three years after only 18 months. In cases where it's valued higher, I buyout and either keep it (two Sorentos so far) or trade against my next vehicle.

They aren’t publicly available. You have to have a login to the Manheim, which I pay for so we can accurately value our collateral when underwriting auto loans.

STOP WITH THE POLITICAL COMMENTS NOW... LAST WARNING.

Help me out, I don’t see any political comments in this thread. Maybe something was deleted before I saw it...

If merely mentioning the name of our POTUS is considered political, that is truly laughable.
