How much did your car insurance change with the Stinger?

All right, I am definitely doing something wrong here. I got 3 quotes today for a leased GT2 RWD (Geico, StateFarms and Progressive). I need to drive 20k miles per year (I know it's a lot and does not help, but that can't change that). All of them quoted me for 6 months for about $1500. Now, reading what you guys are actually paying convinced me there is something wrong about I am doing and do not understand. I do have a speeding ticket and that adds to the policy $15 to $50 each month (depending on the company). But still, the prices I got quoted are insane. Any help? I am in California (Los Angeles). Thanks

edit: I kept checking with other companies and those are the numbers I constantly get. I even got quotes saying I drive 5k miles per year and I am still getting that range ($230-300 per month). What am I doing wrong?

I got the same pricing and I live in Los Angeles. My quote with companies were 500 dollar range each month with my GT1 and Denali Acadia. I eventually went with USAA because of my grandfather served in the military and now I pay 190 a month.

Taxation. Cali is desperate to raise revenue, so I am sure some kind of hidden taxation of Insurance Cos. is going on.

Liberty mutual online is quoting me 1700 dollars for 12 months. It seems little high

125.00 a month 250 deductible. Was with Statefarm my whole life. Switched to Geico, best insurance i ever had!

Coming from 1046 € a year - going up to 1204 € ..taxes from 170 € to 240€ - and that will be more after 09/2018 with new Taxes because of new Filter...

I switched to Progressive from GEICO and it went down, from 135 monthly to 102, with higher limits. It just renewed for the next 6 month term and it jumped up to 123 monthly.

Not bad but if there's another increase next time I will look around.

Interesting .. do you need to renew insurance ? Is it not open end, I mean until you switch to another car or something like that ?

I pay over $3k per year for a GT2. I think u guys should be pretty happy to pay $1k

I’m about the same boat as u $2.7k a year. Two cars

Thats the funny thing. For a little period I had two cars. This brand new GT2, and in addition my old car. With the same insurance I have now, but insuring both cars with the same company, for that period of time I had a total per year lower than having only the GT2. I understand the "2 cars discount", but it's crazy how having 2 cars costs less than 1

I pay $205/mo for my GT AWD with State Farm. I was with allstate when I had my Focus RS and was paying $197/mo and when I went to quote the Stinger Allstate wanted $275/mo.

Either way, every December I shop new insurance for house and cars. The rates vary wildly year-to-year and for who knows what reason.

50/mo for the Stinger GT RWD (My 6 mo cost is $299). $500 Deductible Comp/Collision with 50/100k across the board. Probably need to up that a bit.

Just turned 28, and married with a toddler and a baby. No accidents or tickets in the last 7 years. I'm not complaining!

NJM full coverage on my 2003 Honda accord with 217,000 miles was $823 a year . The car is only worth $1400 My 2018 Stinger is $1021 a year same deductibles . I dropped collision on the Honda now I pay $630 a month. It is still covered for fire and theft ..

$630 per month sounds pretty high. I guess with that many miles on it, they think something bad is going to happen.
