im all for protecting my stinger - not this kind of protection unfortunately.

I think its OK. But my question is does it even work? I tried looking on Youtube for a tutorial of some sort but only found a bunch of infomercial style vids. Would like to see the science behind it and how effective they are. Only then would I consider putting one on.

I can't tell you if that one works or not, but I have had one on a Tacoma and a Titan. They both worked great. I know because on both the amount of bugs smashed in to the windshield went way way down after install...

Yeah here in WA if you spend any amount of time on I-5 you are guaranteed to get a rock chip on your windshield. Every car I've owned here has had one. I've gone as far as to change my insurance to cover it. The roads are by far the worst I've seen...and I used to live in Massachusetts. So if the hood deflector has any merit I would seriously get one.

So this would help deflect bugs from the windshield? Or should? I don't think it looks bad. I'd probably want it body color, though...
It hard to tell how well it would even work. Both of the ones I have had, the trailing edge curves up about an inch. This forces a curtain of air up at the hood and deflects the bugs and to a lesser extent little rocks. Looking at that pic, it seems pretty flat to the hood, not sure it would change the airflow enough to make much of a difference.

I had one on my Optima and found that the 3M coating did a better job of protecting the hood. There didn't seem to be any difference in the amount of bugs or stones that hit the windshield either.

haha... no, not about to get one. As far as deflectors go, it's the nicest I have seen and does no harm to the Stinger to my eyes. Whenever I opted for protection (and not against bugs but rock chips :) ), it was always a clear bra such as on the RC F. Look closely and in this angle you see the faint line about 16 " from the top of the grille, but virtually invisible from any other angle.

OK , I can breath again , great looking car !!

The description says it is suppose to help channel air flow away from your windshield as well. It is not that expensive of an OEM part made for the Stinger. If you got it and didn't like it you can always take it back off.

So FUGLY

One guy in the korean forums bought it and put it on his Stinger. He kept it one day and removed it because it was so ugly.

The main concern are the stones and the debries from the roads instead of the bugs ( a decent bug wash windshield washer fluid would make the clean job). Even with a insurance coverage, I would not like to replace the windshield with the HUD feature (rain sensor too?), or watch the tiny holes on the windshield surface.
I agree in the ugliness of this accessory but not in its utility. I would paint it matching the car color (the beauty has its price).

IMHO
