High performance all-season tire vs. dedicated summer & winter tire

Tire Rack shows those at #40+?, on all-seasons, meaning that they are bad. Like was said, the DWS or Michelin PS AS are waaaaaay up there.

Dealer is probably lying, or doesn't know his arse from his elbow.

I like those BFG G-Force Comp2. As someone noted, the longest name in all of tiredom.
I'm running them too , great tires

I am a little disappointed about the stock tire on the 18" wheels.

I am not sure how things are elsewhere in the world, but in Korea, all 18" wheels are all fitted with Bridgestone Potenza RE97AS.

The 19" on the other hand comes with Michelin Pilot Sport 4, high-performance summer tires as standards with winter tire package of just about ~650 USD extra.

The Bridgestone is kinda average all-season tires where the Michelin PS4 is one of the better performance tires. I'm usually a non-believer on all-season tires and don't mind paying a bit more for the Michelin without needing to get the 19" wheels. This wouldn't be a problem for the other Kia models, but since the Stinger is somewhat of a sporty car, I wish we had choices of the tires.

What do you guys feel about the stock tire choices by Kia?
"ultra high-performance all-season tire" or "just decent dedicated summer and winter tire" ??
The continental DWS are great all around and save changing out for winter!

I don’t like my all seasons and will definelty be getting snow tires in the fall. I have been stuck twice on our crappy winter roads .. I find the low clearance and an over burden of traction control with very little grip, they are definitely not a winter tire.
I would have gladly taken summer tires and the 30 extra miles per hour over the these.. the only thing us Canadians got screwed on lol IMHO
I thought Canadian stingers only came AWD with summers? Mine did.

Already need new tires after 25k miles. Have Michelin Pilot Sport 4s. Since the tires are expensive, thinking of all-seasons that will last longer. How different will the car drive. And since I only need two new tires (the fronts were replaced with the same Michelins recently), can I put all-seasons on the rear with the sport tires in the front?

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

(another tire thread; hadn't seen this one before - before my time, literally: I got my car the day after that last post above yours :P)

Already? You've got more miles out of your OE Michelins than anybody I've read about on here.

Do not mix A/S with summer UHP tires. I know it gets done but why? To save some money. And you risk handling weirdness if the car gets pushed. Tread wear can be uneven or excessive when you have unmatched tread and composition working against each other. Tire failure? If it happens, no tire manufacturer is going to honor a warranty with mismatched tires. You can get used to driving anything. But why take any chances?

I had the OE Michelin PS4 replaced at c. 15K miles in the rear, and got another 4K miles out of the fronts. My summer tires since then have been PS4S, which I like in all respects. When the weather turns cold I change to the A/S in my signature.
