• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Hi all, looking to buy a Stinger

Well, I finally got one, today, and first impressions is that it’s got an awful lot of buttons that I need to read tge massive handbook about, and it’s been damp, but the mid range acceleration is good for sure.

Is it rebadged, or does it say KIA on it? Curious why you mention mid range acceleration. It is very good, but the best torque is from a standing start or slow roll.

My previous was Jag xfr-s with 550bhp supeercharged engine, so I expected it to feel less powerful.,It does from take off, but mid range seems just aasgood. Im very happy with it....

I bought it with E badges already on. I’ll probably leave them on…

Having had a supercharged Jaguar xfr-s with 550 bhp ish previous to the Kia I noticed that the stinger didn’t feel as quick off the line, but the mid range seems as good…again it has been damp so not properly been able to give it the beans… I’m very happy with the car so far.

Stinger in the UK... That's indeed a rarity. I've driven enough there in hired Astra, 500, Fiesta, etc. to know I'll have a tough time handling anything much larger. Some of your B and C roads are so narrow and with zero shoulders, I'm astounded how the big lorries manage on them. Plus the parking spaces at most shopping plazas are sized barely enough for a subcompact, I had to shimmy out of the driver's seat most times. Stinger would be practically a catfish amongst minnows.:)

All true, especially in supermarket car parks.

^^^I have exactly one experience driving in England, many years ago, early 2000s. We rented a Hyundai Getz. A very small hatchback. This was in SE England, London, in and around E. Sussex. On the way from the airport I felt claustrophobia on the unaccustomed narrowness of the highways. These delivery lorries and even farm tractors would suddenly loom up from the opposite side of a rise and bear down on me and I would flinch to the left. I nerfed the LF hubcap several times on the curb trying to make passing room, so it felt. Soon I got acclimated and stopped nerfing the hubcap into the curb, but I didn't ever get comfortable in the c. two weeks I drove around. Had I been in a sedan as big as the Stinger I would have had added stress and probably have ridden right up on the curbs. At least they weren't very tall curbs, but still it would have played hell with the cosmetics on the wheel, being much lower profile than those little wheels and tires on a Getz. I have zero interest in returning to resume driving over there. Hah.

Yes , it is like that, with loads of traffic. That’s one of the reasons why I bought the stinger, it has a camera for every wheel!

hI, as per title, im interested in to buy one of these, but would like to look one over to see if it is fit for my puropse. I live in Bexley kent, so wondered if any owners nearby would be able to let me have a mooch round one locally? If not, no worries I will go to Maidstone where there is one for sale. just thought Id ask...
Cheers
Ian
