I think I've narrowed it down to 3 choices:
Firestone Firehawk Indy 500
General G-Max RS
Falken Azenis FK510

Here is some food for thought...
-I live in Florida so not to worried about freezing the summer tires.
- It's Florida so it does rain a lot so wet performance is important.
- I have a 70 mile round trip commute to the office.
- most of my trip is on I-4 in Orlando, which if anyone knows is terrible right now due to construction.
- as much as I would like to carve some canyons or beat track times I realistically live in an area where there are no good driving roads and I don't track the car.
- I do like "spirited" driving
- I know the answer is always Michelin...
What do you guys and gals think?
I know that comfort and treadwear are the trade-off for performance but if im not driving the car at 10/10ths then I am ok sacrificing a little performance for treadwear and comfort.

Thanks in advance!

If you know Michelin is always the answer, why are you looking at alternatives? Cost?

You'll get a lot more useful information looking up your tire choices on TireRack, then looking at reviews about them from people driving sedans of similar weight. I doubt you'll find a lot of Stingers, though.

I kind of said that as an inside joke for people who listen to the smoking tire....

I feel if I was going for ultimate performance then I would do the Michelin. But since im im not I figured I could save a few bucks going with a different tire.

I did go to tire rack, that's where I got these choices from. Just figured to get fellow stinger enthusiasts opinions.

The Indy 500's are great, if you're not wanting to break the bank. I can put all my power down in the RWD without wheelspin, and it can handle everything I've got the balls to ask for in the corners. The treadwear is also supposed to be much better than the PS4, but I can't personally vouch for that yet.

Haven't tried the others, but I can vouch for the Indy's as being "Good Enough" if you're not trying to squeeze out a couple of seconds in a timed lap.

Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 gets a lot of praise from other forums and groups I'm in - often compared to the Michelin PS4S as a cheaper alternative.
I ran the Falken Azenis FK510 for 10k miles. Grip on launches was hard to come by, would not recommend.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

Thanks! Definitely not looking for lap times... good answer!

I've heard the same thing about the indy's.. just wanted to give some other tires a chance if they deserve it!
good feedback about the falkens..

I live in Sydney so similar climate to Florida, I’ve been running Falken Azensis FK510 since June, it’s a great tyre, no road noise & comparable performance to the Continentals they replaced, I highly recommend the Falken.

I thought about the Firehawk alternative. Simply because of the dramatic price difference. When I asked "my tire guys" about the difference between Michelin Pilot Sport and the Firestone Firehawk Indy 500, they said "you get what you pay for", and further opined that the Firehawk isn't as long wearing as the Pilot Sport. Not so much in the treadlife as the sidewall strength. But, next time I may try the Firestone. It does sound like a good tire.

Im more than happy with the stock contis 5s that were standard with the vehicle.

My neighbor's son has the "Stones on his tuned Focus ST and likes them FWIW. Some say they are Bridgestones in disguise. ;)

Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 are at a very good price and have amazing review ! I will be getting those next summer

thought i saw several; different tread patterns on the Indy 500. Which model are you guys recommending?
