I was grabbing my tire shine from under my spare and I must have un hooked this clear tubing from something. I have no idea what it goes to or what it does. I'm not when 100% sure I actually un hooked it from anything but it is attached at one end to the metal base of the hatch

any help on what it is or where it re attaches would he appreciated. Dont want it to cause any problems later

I haven't gone out to the car to check, but it's likely a battery vent. Trunk mounted batteries need to vent gas (hydrogen), so typically have a vent fitting to route them outside the car. You don't want that stuff inside the car - oh, the humanity!

well shit, I haven't had time to really look at it cuz work but I have to drive from Chicago to Knoxville tonight

Don't have the car with me can check mine when I get home and see where it goes..my trunk is unmolested as of yet..lol

Yup, that is the battery vent tube. Should connect back to the battery. If you don't get it on by the time you get to Knoxville, I'll help you out lol. (Knoxville is less than an hour from me!)

appreciate it , I just took the spare off and was able to hook it back on.

let this go down as info for all stinger owners this thing is not very snug and slides off very easy.

I will be applying some tape to it when I get time because it is loosey goosey

There should be a fitting for it at the top of the battery case - this is an example from a Porsche.

Zip tie might be better.. or a small cable clamp.

Am I the only one realizing that there's storage space under the spare? Albeit however little there is...
