Hello! I've been a fan of the Stinger since it debuted and it took me quite awhile to get my finances in order and finally considering pulling the trigger. Hopefully I can update to an call myself an owner soon!

I've perused a few threads on what folks are paying for their Stingers now to try to compare the deal I'm considering but it's hard to gauge with so much volatility from the past few years. Right now I'm looking at a lightly used 2022 GT2 AWD for $47K + Taxes & Registration for $52K OTD. Anybody willing to chime in on if this is a deal I should be hopping on? Or keep playing the waiting game?

This would be replacing my trooper of a 4cyl '07 Honda Accord Coupe. A big all around upgrade!

Then the only thing to satisfy is a thorough vetting of it's condition: test drive, including a wide open throttle acceleration or three; listen for extraneous noises (rattles, buzzing, clicks, etc.), and check out the paint to make sure it is not one of the few with factory flubs, etc. Try some moderate to stiff braking to make sure that the rotors are still smooth (US spec pads are known to leave deposits producing "shudder", although my brakes at c. 60K miles are still perfect).

^^Agreed. Don't be afraid to tell the dealership you want to take it on different roads including highway AT highway speeds. None of this 5 min around the block BS.

not sure of your location, but a local (Pittsburgh, PA) is selling a CPO '22 GT2 AWD Scorpion Pkg for $50,499 with 9497 miles ... if you can deal with black

one thing to keep in mind, you DO NOT get the 10year/100k powertrain warranty unless you buy brand new or CPO.

i'm kinda pissed, because i bought the exact same car last month, but had to travel 2 hours to get it.

For AWD (assuming 10k miles or less) that is a pretty good price.

As landshark said, make sure it is CPO (certified pre-owned).
CPO cars have 10yr/100k mile powertrain warranty intact, otherwise it drops down to only being for 5 years (or maybe it was 7).
If the dealership will not CPO car ... then that is some serious red flags

You both make good points. It definitely isn’t CPO so it’d drop down to the 2nd owner 5yr/60k warranty. It isn’t from a Kia dealership and isn’t from a group that has an affiliated Kia dealership so probably not the same as if a Kia dealership was not CPO’ing it.

You can negotiate down, they're trying to sell it at CPO pricing. Offer them $50k otd and walk if they balk. They'll call you two hours later agreeing.

That’s what I’m starting to think too. I already pushed that as my price and they said they ‘might’ be able to do $50k with my trade so seems like it can be done as long as I’m not losing $2K on that in exchange.

the excitement when i realized it had the Scorpion pkg when i got there (was not even advertised with it) helped, though
