One thing I noticed: looks like you got him right in the center-line, and the car/brakes kept things perfectly straight. Seriously, the car - and the driver - kept their cool after impact. To those wondering about keeping the venison: when you hit one that fast, it's an elongated pile of bones and goo....and hair
Yeah the car was extremely stable after impact and upon hard braking. The brembos definitely work well. Even with my not-so-great tires. And good point about the deer. Im sure most of the bones on it’s left side were broken and turned all the meat into mush, filled with who knows what bodily fluids
Update: Body shop should have the first round of parts in by Friday and I'll be dropping the car off on Monday. I'm considering asking if he can leave the badge and front license plate bracket off and fill the holes for the bracket. Not sure how Geico would feel about this, but the car would look better without the plate bracket. But I will definitely ask him to leave the KIA badge off because I am absolutely putting another vintage K badge there. Less risk of me damaging the new paint in the process. Considered asking for all holes to be filled and go with a badge delete, but i feel like the front needs something or its too "empty"

Instead of asking them to leave it off and you having to put it on yourself just buy it and have them put it on for you. Insurance will be paying for a new badge anyway, so you might as well.

Well, I got the car back and it looks absolutely amazing. I couldn’t be happier with the work done by Bruce’s Auto Body near Pittsburgh, PA. He even left off the front plate bracket without me asking, so no holes! The car looks brand new. I missed it so much. Just need to reinstall my vintage K badge and she’s done. And yes, I know I need tires. They’re on the way!

Looks great. I smoked 3 deer during the ~10 years I spent in Pittsburgh. 2 really did a number on the cars, the last one was just a bit of a love tap. I don't miss having to worry about assclown deer everytime I go for a drive.

18 days from impact to repair completion. Not too bad. Most of that was waiting for my appointment with the body shop. During that time, i drove a 2018 ford focus, a 2016 chevy equinox, and a 2018 nissan altima. None of which were any fun.
