Has anyone noticed this?
At low speeds the headlights are lower
As you increase speed the headlights rise up a little more to shine light further down the road?
My auto high beam was not switched on at this point.
Or was it some kind of placebo effect i was feeling?
I’ve wondered the same thing but thought I was imagining it. My headlights throw much farther down the road on the highway than they do in my neighborhood it seems. The GT2 has Dynamic low beam assist and when I asked the dealership they told me it was just the headlights move with steering. My other Kia cars had dynamic bending light, that was strictly steering related, the stinger’s lights behave different than that to me.
Lol. There are often kangaroos on that section of road so I tend to to stick to the speed limit there. I don’t think the camera recognition thingy works in Oz. I’ve checked it a few times and the speed limit shown in the HUD doesn’t alter when I pass a differing speed limit sign.
Lol. I guess so. The bloody things have a death wish. They’ll be by the side of the road eating grass, sit up, look at you for a while and then deliberately hop in front of your car once you’re too close to avoid them.
10-100x worse than deer here, because they're not skittish! They just hang out wherever and if you want to walk up to them, go ahead and take your chances! They're certainly not going to run away..
I'll have to try this, I noticed when I parked today, my right beam wasn't quite level with my left beam. I'm thinking the body shop somehow bumped it when he pulled the front bumper and quarter panel off. Or maybe my girlfriend backing into the car and bumping the quarter panel threw it off a little.
Hi, sorry to change subject a little, but my new Spanish Stinger will visit the UK (and drive on the left!!). Until now the only solution with other cars was to put those stickers on the lights to change the beam direction. I assume with the technology in the Stinger that its not necessary now? Anyone know?

If you are travelling there after the Brexit deadline passes you will be able to drive on whatever side of the road you like as all bets will be off. Plus the gridlocked traffic will stop you blinding oncoming motorists anyway.
Has anyone noticed at night the lights wobble from side to side like a set if water divining sticks, when you turn. I know they turn in corners but they shouldnt swing around like that.

Not sure exactly what you mean. But I've noticed if I turn the wheel - say as I'm coming to a stop sign - the lights will turn the direction of the wheel. But if I sit there an extra second, the beams straighten back out. I don't know if it's because the car's at a stop or if it's a timer or what, though.

I was coming home from the beach a couple of weeks ago on dusk when at the lights an older guy got out of his car and came to the window and said "Your headlights are loose and keep bobbing up and down. He sounded annoyed and irritated me. I now don't have them set to auto.
In the old days if you drove on the other side of the road then you had to have special stickers put on the headlights to "alter" the beam direction. These stickers were available especially at ports where vehicles arrived. I assume with LED technology either the Stingers lights adapt automatically or you are able to change them easily. As I will travel between the UK and Europe I need to know. Technically if you do not "adapt" your lights you are breaking the law and potentially invalidating your car insurance.

I should have but i was taken by surprise at first i thought he may have something nice to say like : Nice plates, lovely car, or You should upgrade what's sitting in the passenger seats so its more inkeeping with the car. But no, bobbly head light syndrome only.
Upgrade what’s sitting in the passenger seat! That’s even ruder than bitching about your headlights. It’s amazing the ignorant old prick managed to get to be as old as he is.
Not yet. The only time I’m in reverse of a night time is backing out of my driveway and that’s a short, straight trip straight to the street so it’s not been an issue for me.
