Hi,

Looking for some opinions here. So since i've had the car i've always thought about changing to gold wheels. ( I think it stems from my childhood watching the Lotus John Player Special in Formula one.... i loved the look of the black car with gold wheels)

I am happy with the style of the wheels I have so wanted to see what everyone's thoughts were about going Gold? Plast Dip, Powder Coat, Other? ?

I just can't see Gold against this color Stinger. This is too classy a car. It's like putting heavy gold ghetto chains on a guy wearing a Tuxedo. Gold wheels will distract from the solid statement this car already makes, leaving the viewer utterly confused. Of course, this is only my opinion.

Some people don't like my Hyper Silver Ark 225s on my Micro Blue. They say I should have gone with Black wheels. My car looks too much like a Maserati now, lol. I'm like, so why is it bad to look like a $80,000+ car?

Enjoy this beauty no matter what! If you love Gold wheels, get Gold wheels.

More than gold I would suggest bronze, a light shade, not a dark one. I think that will contrast great with the black.

One thing I do think you must do, whatever color you choose. Plasti dip them, so that you can peel it off if you decide on a different color or just keep the gun metal you have now.

Sorted, you are a male- yeah- you know what you like-yeah. Job done -gold.

If doubtful leave a couple of weeks if it keeps nagging you know it's right.

Black and gold go together you've seen it JPS lotus.

Photoshop your existing wheels from the picture to the color of your choice.... then decide. Then you can have a close to actual look before making the leap. My wheel project hasn’t moved from planning to action just yet, but likely will in the near future. Enjoy that awesome car! db

Before scrolling enough to see you had a black car, I thought "possibly if it was black", but then looking at the trim, I'm not so sure.

So photoshop it and see if it looks good to you. I don't think I would.

Looking forward to seeing photos of them installed, particularly as you have a black car.

Gonna have to disagree on matching the black chrome to the wheels, I'd say wrap 'em black.

Put me in the camp that says a darker matte bronze looks better and less flashy then shiny bronze.

So, you're still on the fence with this?

I like gold rims (old Ferrari look). But I think they will pop better if the mirror cups and other dark chrome visible from the side are not vying for attention.

By the way, your rims in the OP, while striking to look at, must be a bitch to keep clean (short of spraying them out in a car wash). :P
