Just unboxed the rear Stinger Lettering from Importshark. Weather is bad ATM, so I'm aiming for next weekend to complete.

edit: The forum store also has these (see below) available here.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
I'm torn between black and silver on yellow, which to buy...

I ordered mine in the factory chrome - sanded it with 800 and painted it. All of it blew right off with the first wash. Just be careful for those of you who are painting.

Ive been wondering if I wanna do this black on my red GT or not. I was thinking flat black, never considered gloss tbh, but it looks great on the yellow. I just dont know if chrome or black would look better on red....hmmmm.

Also, I never took my badge out of its packaging yet..But im assuming its just a plastic chrome look. If its plastic then youd most likely need to spray it with a plastic adhesion promoter or primer before painting. Scuff it with a scotch pad as well, rather then sandpaper, that'll make sure to get all the edges.

@Walid El-Tawel did you do the badge replacement yourself or get someone to do it for you? I’m in the GTA and somewhat cautious to do it myself.
I did it with my buddy who owns a shop. Super easy. Heat gun and a rubber tipped flat wedge. Heat the area of the badge then wedge it out with a towel wrapped around the tip of the tip of the rubber flat wedge. Nice and slow with gentle pressure and it will pop out.

Looks great man. Paint where emblem came off looked perfect. Any issues?
Only issue I had was on the front Kia logo. A tiny fragment of paint came off with the badge. I was extremely surprised to see how thin of a coat of paint was laid down. Craziness but you get what you pay for.

Do you put any extra glue or adhesive tape on the back of the new stinger badge?

So only Chinese knockoffs come in gloss black? Are you guys filling the alignment pin holes on the hatch before applying the new emblem? What method are you guys using for aligning the new emblem other than just eyeballing it or precise measurements and masking tape?

I used a clear roof & guttering silicone to fill the pin holes.
I used the script outline template with painters tape to centre & level & hold in place when applying the script, end result below.
