Gauge pods are here!!!!!!

Some good views of the curtain airbag deploying here.

yeah.... I'm sorry, anyone putting a gauge cluster over that curtain airbag is a moron. See how fast it pops? It's so fast even the high speed camera can't capture it. Adding gauges on the A pillar is increasing the weight of the thing ten fold, if not more. It's almost impossible to say exactly what's going to happen without crash testing, but it would clearly not operate as intended and there is the very real chance the airbag would launch the cluster at you since it wouldn't open nearly as fast as it's designed to.

They deploy at 200 mph, just the bag itself can bruise the crap out of you, now imagine plastic and metal hitting you in the face. You're talking severe damage or even death, not just a minor scrape.

If you want to make your Stinger a death trap in a 20 mph collision, that's up to you, just please don't let anyone else ever drive your car.

If you really want to use this gauge cluster, disconnect that airbag and just live with the airbag light on the dash.

I totally agree. Pillar gauge pods just do not fit this fine machine.

I'll respect your view points because there's a saftey risk that needs acknowledged. There's always a chance that you or others might get hurt from the gauges just like there's a change that you or others might be hurt in a crash. We all should understand that. With that being said, the purpose of this thread was to present a new product for the stinger that (as far as i know) no other company has made to hold additional gauges. I just simply want to. Push more options for the stinger. I would push for vent gauges or any other up-to-date style just as much.

Vent pod would also be cool, or embrace the fact that it's 2019 and use the giant screen on the dashboard to show gauges
I have just made some 52mm vent pod gauge holders. One is driver side vent and the other one is the left center vent.

Pretty sure the actual content of this post drove the point home sufficiently.

Surer that calling the guy a moron was completely out of line and unnecessary.

I was fine with it. People will run their mouth. Nothing I can do. Those pods are awesome btw

How's the flow on the left side vent? And do we have prices on these?

Thank you!!! The gauges are just for mock up. Aem widebands are wider than standered 52mm gauges so I was making sure multiple brands will fit it. I’m asking $230 each or $180 with factory vent.

This...

I find the center dash vent unused a lot of times. The real estate can be used for better things.

WHERE DID YOU GET THESE FROM? I'D LIKE TO DO SOMETHING LIKE THIS AS WELL SINCE THERE REALLY NO OTHER OPTIONS FOR A PILLAR PODS FOR THE STINGER
