Some years ago, soon after I got my TSW wheels, 9.5" wide +39 in the back, I made a fast left turn onto an onramp. I discovered a hidden dip in the road around the corner. The RR tire smacked up inside the wheel well loud enough to make me thoroughly inspect my tire when I got home. Since I saw nothing on the outside or tread, I assumed that the tire had met wheel well liner but no visible harm done. Would this have occurred with OEM +46.5 and 8.5" wide? I think not. So, if you are going to corner fast, expect your much closer tolerances to provide some interesting noises sooner or later.I did not cover the entire interior, true, so there are some spots where it's doing so, but not loud enough for me to pick up on it aurally.
