Funny license plates.

Now I see the war paint on the fenders. I'm not familiar with this marque (I'm an American banned from most countries, lol). Is it some kind of hot sedan or hatch?
You will know that car as either the Pontiac G8 or Chevy SS.

I think it was a Holden Commodore sedan, but I was concentrating on the plate more than the car

No it’s a full sized sedan. Holden Commodore possibly a V8 but hard to tell from that shot. Aussie’s loved their V8 Commodores but they are no more now.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
I saw a different " Sting " an American Muscle.....Monaro, it was strategically parked at the back of the carpark, I just had to stop and get a pic, these cars are as rare as hen's teeth where I live :)

You'd need a tow bar to tow the mobile fuel bowser.

It’s a Camaro not a Monaro. US built and then stripped down and converted to RHD by HSV when it gets off the boat. The Monaro was Australian built by Holden, in its most recent incarnation was basically a 2 door V8 Commodore coupe.

That's insane... a 2SS is $50K here and are everywhere (all versions that is - they start at $30k)
Totally agree, but you have to factor in currency exchange rate, shipping, conversion from LHD to RHD, profit + luxury tax & this is what you end up with.
I’d prefer Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, a more versitile vehicle & so much more punch for less $$.

Our currency is normally pretty close CAD to AUD (about$ 0.05 different atm) But other factors would certainly come into play... no wonder you don't see many around

Yes & there is also a thing called the “Australia Tax” which seems to be a mark up companies apply to AU as there seems to be a perception that we are all well off & can afford it, yes we enjoy a good standard of living here but it’s the actual cost of living that’s a killer.

Wanna get into the Camaro import biz?

We have similar issues with many products from our neighbors to the south, and they don't get shipped across any oceans

Sorry, I meant " Camaro ", thanks for correction ...hubby laughs as I usually pronounce it " Cam-i-ro " making it a cross between a Cam-i-ra and a Camaro

Yep & it’s supposed to be “fair trade” absolute BS & it’s always lopsided against the smaller country & based on perceived average incomes.

Yes you've got that border tax thing happening.
Awhile ago a Canadian chap said how much more his Stinger cost in Canada. I asked why he didn't cross the border (as he lived close) . He said Kia US wouldn't have given him a Warranty.

Ah yes the good old Australia Tax, they used to claim it was to cover the cost of shipping etc as it’s more expensive to send goods here, that doesn’t really explain the mark up on digital items from Apple, PlayStation, Xbox, etc. Computer and console games were always more expensive here when they were in physical form on a disc, but now you just download from a store and they still charge more than the US and other places even for the digital version. It’s just basically price gouging from large overseas companies that pay little to no tax in Australia but claim they’re part of our community.
