I have had the opportunity to drive my GT2 AWD from Dover DE to Albany NY and Hartford CT to Dover DE several times. That is 5 to 6 hours driving depending on traffic on a single tank. I averaged 27 to 29 MPG and it showed 100 miles left before empty. I also fill the tank until it is ready to come out of the fill spout. It looks like it gives me an additional 1.8 gallons of gas. After 5 hours of driving I am ready for a break. I had a 2013 Charger RT AWD with a 19 gallon tank. The best I could get was 25 to 26 MPG. I am pleased with the fuel mileage I am getting. This is the first car in a long time where the fuel mileage is extremely better than what the EPA estimate said.
I am also glad there is a spare tire instead of a couple extra gallons of gas.
I also wonder how much tank capacity was lost because they may have planned for a Diesel engine in locations that require DEF additive and they lost 2 to 3 gallons capacity because of that.
