To those of you who are as unfortunate as I am and are required to have a front license plate displayed, how are you going to do it? Use the provided mount and attach it to the bumper? Use a tow hook mount? Some other kind of mount or option? Risk the ticket? I’m having trouble deciding myself.

Risk the ticket...

I've not been able to find a tow hook mount that says it will fit (threading or length), and am concerned about the distance between the tow hook and the nearest parking sensor.

Theres a ton of adjustment on the plate holders that attach to tow hooks , there are several on ebay , or just google them , good luck

My dealer just emailed me to say that he would have an 'alternate mount' license plate and to hold off putting holes in the bumper. Said he'd have it the end of January. I'll hold off and see what that is.

Dont wait ..............

I've been pulled over for having a (very lightly) tinted cover on my license plates and for having no front license plate here in the Communist state of Illinois. Both times by State Police, not local.

I'll avoid the hassle at all costs.

Sometimes those tinted license plate covers, even when tinted very lightly (or just covered at all) cause a reflection making it difficult to read the plate. The "law" doesn't like that because people use it to get away with crime(s) - and tolls as well... Are you able to have the plate in the front windshield between the glass and the dash?

Actually, covering them even with clear is illegal in Illinois. Though you can find dozens of kinds of covers for your license plate in any auto parts store in this state...

No guarantee that the bolt will fit the threading of the Kia tow hook.
pretty sure the tow hooks are 100% universal , dont / wouldnt trust a Kia dealership for anything that isnt OEM , plus you can return anything from Amazon , but they will fit

I think they might be illegal here too. Probably everywhere...

When I am looking at several different manufacturers, they have multiple kits dependent on the car that it will be going on. It has to do with the thread count and angle of the threads, length of the required bolt, etc. I really don't want to play order roulette!

Been there, they don't have a Kia specific mount. It is likely that one of them will fit, but not sure which to pick!

got it , in another forum they show their product on a Stinger , or someone c/p it on , the depth of the bolt ( depending on the curve of the bumper ) is the key issue as the mount head has a swivel which can be adjusted to make it square and plumb . I had their product on an M5 a few years ago and they work really well , good luck
