Front Camera Rock Chip Protector

If any one is interested I have made some Camera Protectors (PFP) to help prevent chips in the front camera lens.

Just a little bit of window cleaner to help position it and get the air bubbles out, press with a rag and heat gun (or hair dryer) it down. Couple bubbles in it but those will disappear after a while.

$3.50 a pair shipped.

This doesn't negatively affect optics clarity too much when installed?

I actually have a roll of PPF I bought specifically for the lower edges of the doors. I may just cut out some circles and put it over the front camera. They like to use all the world's rocks on our roads in winter.

Yea it’s just regular mail postage is about a $1 (US) more.

If anybody had their bumper, headlights, etc. PPF'ed, the technician in all likelihood covered the camera and sensor panel already. If not, go and see him/her to add the missing piece...

PPFing the front (plus hood, A-pillars, mirror housings and all black chrome trim pieces) before the winter season is highly recommended.

In my experience there is not a technician out there that will PFP a collision sensor on the front, too much liability for them.

At least that’s what I’ve been finding in all my years as a auto field adjuster

Well if they won’t, I did. No difference in functionality at all.

Nope I believe you, but if something doesn’t quit work right and it fails then the company could be held liable.

Nothing wrong with what you are offering, I just gave a heads-up to others, that they may have been "covered" already.

You may also be interested to know, that if the car's systems "can't see", they'll let you know.
It happened to me during winter driving, when a lot of slush, snow, and ice accumulated on the front area, a nonspecific warning signal appeared on the dash.
The alert got me to look for the cause of the alert and clean up the front.
