Inquired to several dealerships on "best price" for a 2019 GT2. Fredy Kia came at me with a very high number. I politely declined and told them I was awaiting delivery at another dealer and found a better price. Fredy replied back that they would match or beat the deal I currently had if I came by today. Not only did they lie to get me in the door, they proceeded to waste an hour of my time. They knew exactly what price I was currently buying a car at and offered to beat it.

I left with a quote not only nowhere near my current best price but well above MSRP. They also tacked on "protect package" and other items driving the price north of $56k. I left with a quote that was higher than the one they originally sent me via email.

If you're shopping Kia in this area just go down the road to the next dealership. I doubt you'll get a good deal here.

Do you have a deal in place?

I have a good quote and deal at a dealership but delivery was pushed back. Was expecting 15th, now to 20th. I sent some emails to other dealers who had inventory to see if they wanted to match the price instead of waiting around. That's how i got myself into the mess at Fredy.

I'm guessing it's better to just wait it out and see if this one delivers or not. I suspect all the dealerships will say whatever they want to get you in the door. I'll report back my experience at the original dealership as well, giving them the benefit of the doubt so far since my initial visit went so well.

Please let me know if we can help

Just wanted to post an update... shipment at the original dealer got delayed into Feb so I started gathering quotes again for people who had stock. I managed to get the same pricing from several out of state dealers and was trying to get a price match somewhere local when Fredy Kia replied... they didn't want to talk over email and asked to call. I returned their call and was asked to call back later due to catching the sales guy on lunch break. I tried twice more at the agree time but got voice mail.

I booked a flight to Oklahoma and am driving back now with the new gt2. Ill post another thread about the positive experience i had at Ferguson Kia in Tulsa.
