You and me both. I was almost 100% positive the filter at least was up top. I took off the top cover and great no filter. After doing it once though it should be a piece of cake now.

Thank You i'm trying to do a lot on this car as i plan on keeping it for a very long time. I feel more comfortable doing the work myself as i'm some what mechanically inclined. So i thought hell might as well film it and show other people what to expect.

I gotta talk to kia if they warmed oil before they topped off. Got first change at 650 miles.

They guy seemed to know about the stinger and said he was trained to change oil and filter.

The instructions I gave you was the instructions to all KIA dealerships. He would have the exact same instructions. . The service manager printed those out for me.

seems like a simple fix is oil guide/plastic cup to guide the oil down, hopefully the deals as done a few of these and got tired to cleaning sh up .another thing to ask, didn't notice any oil drops after the change so good sign.

No just torque everything to the proper specs and it will be good. Amd wipe up all the residual oil off the frame work as well.

The manual says 6000 miles for me but in all my cars I've done the first oil change at 1000 then the second after 5000 then I'm back on target for every 6000. Because I'm doing it myself I may change it every 3000 miles.
